Products in bad condition or nearly expired. (Quality Management)
First of all, peoples are becoming more and more reckless that they can even forget to look after their personal health status and safety. For example, one might not be careful enough to buy an item (food) where the condition is good in a shopping mall, Tesco. Therefore, they might fall into the ‘trap’ of buying an expired food or nearly expired products which can categories in Quality management problem in Tesco Malaysia. Products in bad quality may cause a lot of bad consequences after consuming it. Problem will arise affecting both customer and also the owner of the mall.
Problems that will be subjected to customer who ignorantly bought the spoilt products or food may result in food poisoning, nutritional value and taste change. Uncooked meats and eggs are the usual suspects when it comes to food poisoning, but any food that has expired might lead to a growth of the bacteria that can lead to food-borne illness. Products in bad condition which may cause dangerous illness happened. For example, food poisoning occurs when consumers consume dangerous bacteria that are able to grow more easily on expired foods. This is most likely to occur with perishable foods such as beef, chicken, eggs and prepared foods such as macaroni salad or potato salad. In the aspect of nutritional value, the nutrition that a person obtains from an expired food is far less compared to the fresh foods even though the food label indicates that a food is highly nutritious. In order to avoid pack the product wrongly, the packaging team can arrange the similar products accordingly. This might prevent the packaging workers take wrong products to pack and caused unmatched product in the box happen.
In addition, the owner of the Tesco company should apologise to the public through mass media due to their unforeseen problem and promised to rectify the following incident as this will help to brings back his company reputation up again. In this way, the company will gain his customers’ support and confidence. Actions should be taken straight away to fulfil the customer’s right by substituting all the faulty products with the fresh and good quality products. This will definitely helps to minimise the problem occurred.
