Father of the Bride
The film¡¦s name is Father of the Bride. It involves George Banks (Steven Martin), and Annie Banks (Kimberly Williams). The time period is in 1991. The technique of the filmmaker is very good, it tells the middle age people¡¦s thoughts and feelings.
The actors are believable in their roles. Steven Martin who acts as George Banks is outstanding in his role, he acts very well, so the audience knows his feelings, and feels sorry for him. The stars are not the main reason for me to see the film, but the title is.
The director is trying to communicate the love from a father to his daughter. It shows the natural love of human being, so the filmmaking works very well. The film flows well and smoothly, so the audience can follow it easily. The pace is appropriate. The director elicits from the audience the intended reaction, the audience feels sorry for George.
The theme is the father¡¦s love to his daughter. The father does all the things for his daughter; he just wants his daughter to be happy. He spends a lot of money in his daughter¡¦s wedding party. The theme is considered to be accurate, because the story is a truth that can happen in real life. The theme does not relate to any social issues.
The story talks about George Banks who is middle aged, and has a daughter Annie Banks, who is twenty-two. Annie Banks ...
One of the main products of this movie that popped out to me was the stars. They all seemed to be great actors even though I only knew one of them. For example, I thought that Ian Michael Smith did a great job portraying Simon Birch. He made the movie cute and funny all at once. I also thought that Joseph Mazello did a great job portraying relatable feelings in the movie. You could tell by his facial expressions what his mood was. All the actors did a great job and I can’t pinpoint one of them who did worse than the
All characters in the movie were played well by the actors in my opinion. They
Acting of movie is very basic for todays standards. The actions of the Miles Bennell aren’t believable or logical. At some points the women of the movie tend of over action simple scenes. The rest of the cast is monotone and have little emotion. It ok casting, but they could of done better. You find yourself laughing at serious point in the film due to the poor acting. This movie could be recut to become a comedy movie, just based off their facial expression.
Theme: The theme of the story is that sometimes in life you have to make sacrifices, big or small, to help things that are more important then what benefits you more. This is shown plenty of times throughout the story, but the most important time was when Sadie had to choose to save her father, or stop Set and...
Much Ado About Nothing. Directed by Kenneth Branagh. Samuel Goldwyn Company and Renaissance Films, 1993.
This film also shows that people of different backgrounds can too be in love. This movie illustrates that even though there are differences between two people, doesn’t mean they cannot be together. In the world today, people of all different types are falling in love. This used to be unheard of, but is now becoming a way of life. I feel that this movie did a wonderful job of showing many aspects of love and the difficulties that people may come upon.

The theme is supported in the whole story and Jesus help to support the theme. The direction of this story follows good and evil with a criminal situation that most be destine to happen. I think the Misfits will be punished, but I would have loved to read about it in this story. The grandmother's hope in God seemed to be coming to the end. Flannery O'Connor brings her reader through a tuff time to let them understand the theme of our society and how it’s constantly changing.
During the period after the fall of the Roman Empire in the West, Europe experienced a time known as the Dark Ages. During this time period, much of the knowledge that had been learned was lost. Political control was transferred to barbaric invaders, such as the Goths, Vandals, and Huns. These groups destroyed many buildings and artworks that had existed during the time of the Roman Empire. Most people were illiterate, and much of the previously learned knowledge was lost (“Dark Ages”). However, arts and knowledge still flourished in the East.
For a college production, the acting was outstanding. I really felt the emotions. The lead Wendla, who was played by KyLeigh Zimmerer, was amazing. I have also seen bits and pieces of the Broadway version which starred Lea Michelle, and obviously if I were to compare the acting, the Broadway version would be victorious. However, for a college production, these actors have limited past experience, but their acting was professional. Also, when they sang the song "Those You've Known," I felt chills and had goose bumps because that was such an emotional song. You could feel all the emotions and guilt Melchior, played by Ryan Ramirez, was feeling because both his best friend, Moritz, played by Justin Noblitt, and the girl he impregnated, Wendla, died and he believed he was to blame. Moritz committed suicide while Wendla died from a botch abortion her mom for...
The first theme that is prevalent throughout the story is love. The main characters, Calixta and Alcee, love their families. When Calixta realizes the treacherous storm brewing in the distance, she fears for the safety of her husband and child. Alcee admits to missing his family in a “loving letter, full of tender solicitude” (Chopin 126). However the theme itself does not stop at love. It delves deeper into a more specific type of passion: affair.
Fries uses imagery to create an image to explain how beauty standards affect how an individual thinks, and how they go through variations to make themselves become what beauty wants them to be. “I want to break your bones. Make them so they look like mine. Force you to walk on twisted legs”(Fries 27-29). This quote uses imagery by creating the image of breaking someone’s bones to show that the individual wants to take someone 's legs that they see fits beauty standards and turn them into theirs. Fries uses imagery in a different way also by showing where the wanting of changing body image comes from. “Your smooth skin is no relief from the danger of your eyes” (Fries 47-50). The imagery of smooth skin shows that even though the individual has gentle skin with no imperfections there is no protection from the damage the eyes will cause when exposed to different beauty standards that will cause the wanting of alternations to be done to the skin to conform to different beauty standards. Without the use of imagery throughout the poem the reader would not be able to truly understand the image of what happens when an individual conforms to beauty standards. Without the use of imagery there would be a lack of understanding that there is no real definition of beauty, because there would be no image to show the reader that what truly matters is what lies on the
Good evening. I would like to begin by welcoming each and every one of you to this joyous and stressful occasion.
Some think that the theme is that bullying can hurt people. Yes that is true in life but not in this story. The theme isn’t that because only a few times in the story does Margoe fell hurt. The theme of jealousy is shown many more times than the other one. Jealousy plays a role throughout the story.Although the other theme is show in the story this theme is show more times and is more important.
Communication is an important concept of caring in nursing because the nurse has to know how to communicate efficiently in order to get the patient to trust the nurse enough to open up to the nurse and also the nurse needs to communicate respectfully to show the patient that they genuinely do care about their health and want to help them as much as they
