Lady Macbeth of Shakespeare's Play, Macbeth
Lady Macbeth is the most interesting and complex character in Shakespeare's play, Macbeth. She is, in fact, the point on which the action pivots: without her there is no play.
The purpose of this essay is to describe Lady Macbeth’s role in the play and discuss why this makes her the most fascinating character. Her evil doings are the main reasons why she dominates the plot so greatly. These include the following: considers Macbeth to be a wimp not wanting to murder; letting Macbeth fulfill her plan; taking control over Macbeth’s thoughts and actions; turning Macbeth from a loyal man to a greedy, coldhearted human being. Also Lady Macbeth’s transformation in character and her relationship with Macbeth contribute to her importance.
Lady Macbeth satisfies her role among the high society and is well respected like her husband. The King of Scotland, King Duncan, calls her “our honoured hostess.” She shows great affection towards Macbeth but at the same time very ambitious, as shown by her reaction to the prophecies given to him. She immediately decides that “the fastest way” for Macbeth to become king is to murder King Duncan.
When Lady Macbeth hears of the prophecies given to her husband her true character is exposed for the audience to see. Lady Macbeth persuades Macbeth to go and make the prophecy true that he will become king. Macbeth‘s thoughts on the prophecy before his wife’s intervention was that “If chance will hav...
CAPULET: But saying o'er what I have said before: My child is yet a stranger in the world; She hath not seen the change of fourteen years; Let two more summers wither in their pride, Ere we may think her ripe to be a bride.
But this statement fails to mention how none of this would have ever happened if Lord Capulet hadn’t been as unforgiving. The only reason Romeo killed himself is because he couldn’t be with Juliet, and the only reason he couldn’t be with Juliet is because Lord Capulet tried to make her marry Paris. It could also be said that it was the Friar or Juliet’s fault because he made such a risky plan and she took it, but he never would have had to make this plan if Capulet had been more accepting, and she never would have had to take such a plan if she wasn’t so scared of her
The Death the reader befriends in The Book Thief is far from the Death s/he previously feared to see standing over him or her in the twilight hours of life. We are haunted by him and him by us. As a group, we form the opposite ends of a spectrum: A species with the infinite ability to love and hate, create and destroy, burn and build, and the eternal metaphysical being who must witness the entire process, never truly being able to grasp what it means to live, but ever loving those who do.
Good parenting is one of the most important factors to well behaved teenagers. Well, in Nicholas Ray 's 1955 film Rebel without a Cause, the lack of good parenting is the underlying cause of all the major events. This movie is set in the suburbs of Los Angeles, where Jim Stark and his family just recently moved in. In order to give him a fresh start, his parents think that it’s the town is what gives him problems. It is due to this lack of good parenting that teenagers such as Jim, Judy, and Plato are so rebellious and misguided with their behavior. The opening scene of the movie has Jim, Plato, and Judy at the police station being held in custody due to their unlawful actions. When Jim’s parents show up at the police station they are not very worried about what he has done, but rather prefer argue over opposing views on how to handle the situation. In the meanwhile Judy is picked up by her mother, which only worsens her father issues. As for Plato the absence of his mother shows how there is not much care for him. Parents are usually the ones children look up to for guidance and inspiration and without them teenagers will usually spiral out of control and into many different problems.
As Macbeth becomes less dependent on his wife, she loses more control. She loses control of her husband, but mostly, of herself, proving her vacillating truth. Lady Macbeth’s character gradually disintegrates through a false portrayal of unyielding strength, an unsteady control of her husband and shifting involvement with supernatural powers.Throughout the duration of play Lady Macbeth’s truly decrepit and vulnerable nature is revealed. Lady Macbeth has been the iron fist and authority icon for Macbeth, yet deep down, she never carried such traits to begin with. This duality in Lady Macbeth’s character plays a huge role in planting the seed for Macbeth’s downfall and eventual demise.
At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is a trusted soldier, who is honest and noble. Unfortunately, he meets three witches who tell him three prophecies; that he will become thane of Cawdor, that he will become king and that Banquo’s sons will become kings. These three prophecies slowly change his opinions on life and turn him into a greedy, dishonest, tyrant, full of ambition. Lady Macbeth’s thoughts change as well when she is told about the three prophecies that were told to Macbeth. In the beginning of the play, Lady Macbeth is ambitious, controlling and domineering. She is the one who encourages him to kill the king, she not only encourages him, she makes all the plans herself, which shows her determination and persistence."Yet I do fear thy nature, it is too full o’th milk of human kindness. To catch the nearest way thou wouldst be great. Art not without ambition, but without the illness should attend it." (Act 1, scene 5). Lady Macbeth is the force behind Macbeth’s sudden ambition and she tries to manipulate him into feeling guilty and unmanly for not following through with the murder, by using her husbands emotions, she manages to convince Macbeth to murder Duncan.
In the play of “Macbeth”, Shakespeare gradually and effectively deepens our understanding of the themes and most importantly the relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. The main theme of Macbeth is ambition, and how it compels the main characters to pursue it. The antagonists of the play are the three witches, who symbolise the theme appearance and reality. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s relation is an irony throughout the play, as most of their relation is based on greed and power. This is different from most of Shakespeare’s other plays, which are mostly based on romance and trust. There is also guilt that leads Macbeth and Lady Macbeth to the final consequences of the play. As the progresses, the constant changes in Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are exposed.
Lady Macbeth is an extremely ambitious woman and wants more than anything for her husband, Macbeth, to be the next King of Scotland. When King Duncan announces that his son, Malcolm, is to be the next King, Duncan’s murder is planned. Lady Macbeth’s crucial role in the play is to persuade Macbeth to carry out the murder of Duncan. In the beginning she is ambitious, controlling and strong. However as the plot concludes there is an extreme change in her character and personality which surprises the audience. Lady Macbeth’s guilt eventually becomes too much for her to handle which leads to her death.
Every child tests the idea of rebellion as it’s a part of growing up. The idea of rebelling against authority

Lady Macbeth is one of William Shakespeare’s most famous and frightening female characters. As she is Macbeth’s wife, her role is significant in his rise and fall from royalty. She is Macbeth’s other half. During Shakespearean times, women were regarded as weak insignificant beings that were there to give birth and look beautiful. They were not thought to be as intelligent or equal to men. Though in Shakespeare's play, Macbeth, Lady Macbeth is the highest influence in Macbeth’s life. Her role was so large; in fact, that she uses her position to gain power, stay strong enough to support her unstable Lord, and fails miserably while their relationship falls apart. Everything about Lady Macbeth is enough to create the perfect villain because of her ability to manipulate everyone around her. It appears that even she can’t resist the perfect crime.

The play Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, explores the darkest corners of the human psyche. It artfully takes its audience to a place that allows one to examine what a human being is truly capable of once tempted by the allure of power. In the play, Scottish noble Macbeth and his wife inevitably fall prey to their own self corruption. Initiated by prophesies made by three mysterious witches, the Macbeths set their sights on the throne. When the curtains open on the plot to murder King Duncan, Lady Macbeth is the driving force. Her criminal mind and desire for ruthlessness have led many a critic to define her as evil. Closer examination, however, reveals that she is a multifaceted character; other sides to her persona include: genuine good will towards her husband, coy manipulation, and feminine tenderness.
While most parents realize there are normal struggles between parents and teens as their sons and daughters struggle for independence and identity, they are often shocked by the length and intensity of the conflict. They are stunned by apparent rejection of some of their most sacred values and confused by their teenagers "acting up" and "acting out." In attempting to become psychologically independent of their parents, teens often attempt to move completely away from any control or influence by their parents.
When I was growing up, I barely had friends. I can relate to teenage rebellion but I am against the situation. I feel that teenager’s rebel against their parents because they see someone else doing it. How can you transition so quickly from obeying your parents as a child to being disobedient? I believe that if your parent’s raised you well and you know your right from wrong. As teens get older, they start to want their own independence. Parents can certainly give them their own independence, but to a certain extent. “But her mother/father let her” or “But his mother/father let him”, said any pleading teenager
