Motivation to Teach
To me a teacher is someone who loves children and loves helping others achieve their goals. I think the main focus on a teacher’s mind should be to encourage others to make the world a better place to live. In order to make the world a better place, someone has to inspire others to make a change. I feel that teachers should become the inspiration of today’s children and tomorrow’s future. I believe teachers need that desire inside of them, to want to make a difference in someone else’s life, in order to make the world a better place.
When I receive my Education degree in Mathematics and Science for grades five through nine, I plan to make a difference in not only one child’s life, but in every child’s life I teach. I believe education is the key to making a difference in the world. I know I can’t make that difference on my own, so I plan to teach my students the knowledge I have received through not only school but also through life.
I want to become a teacher the student can trust in a time of need. I want to be there for them when they need someone to talk to about any situation. I want to be involved in my student’s life, not just stand in front of them and conduct lessons. I believe the bond between a teacher and a student is very special and is something that should be always be cherished. I had many teachers who taught me valuable lessons, and I want to model the impact they made in my life.
I plan to use a variety of teaching methods in my classroom. I will use the essentialism philosophy as my foundation and incorporate a mixture of progressivism and social reconstructionism. I believe the teacher and students should work together in determining the curriculum...

...e subject interesting and motivating so the students will love math, not hate math. No matter what position I hold, I want to make the subject enjoyable for the students.
After I pursue my Bachelor of Science in Education, I plan on settling down in my hometown, Peterstown, West Virginia, and raising a family. I want to find a job in that area, either at Peterstown Middle School or at a Giles County School in Virginia. I want to give back to my community what it gave to me as a student.
I know it will take time to change the entire world, but if I can influence the life of one child maybe it will become contagious. I want to inspire students to go out and achieve their dreams and inspire others to do the same. I had many teachers that inspired me to do just that and that is my plan for life- to encourage others to make the world a better place.
ADHD is a disorder that has been on the rise for several years now. The disorder is one that can cause many impairments to a child’s attention span, making it difficult to concentrate and to keep on task, especially on schoolwork. (Graham, 2007) The statistics have been growing ...
In our time of uncertainty one of the most stable institutions is the school system for children. Thus, being a teacher and providing the most stable atmosphere along with providing the children with an education must be handled delicately. I believe a mixture of essentialism, progressivism, perennialism, behaviorism, and social reconstrctonism is essential in achieving those goals.
However, the perspective that the bombing of Dresden were justified is very common among the officials responsible for the bombing, and especially Air Marshall Arthur “Bomber” Harris, who was both the architect and leading proponent of strategic bombing never wavered in his conviction that the bombing of Dresden was not only justifiable but necessary. Harris wrote in his autobiography the morality of the bombing of Dresden;
Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Everyone has heard of it. A few years ago every newspaper and weekly magazine had a feature about the disorder. The disorder was mostly associated with school-aged children because that was the time when most of the symptoms surfaced. Today ADHD is the most common behavior disorder diagnosed in children and teens. ADHD refers to a group of symptoms that begin in early childhood and can continue into adulthood, causing difficulties at home, at school, at work, and within the community if not recognized and treated (1). But what most people never hear was that ADHD also affects adults and if left untreated can have serious effects.
...the strongest London buildings are made, are not more real, or more impossible to be displaced by your hands, than your presence and influence have been to me, there and everywhere, and will be. Estella, to the last hour of my life, you can’t choose but remain part of my character, part of the little good in me, part of the evil. But, in this separation I associate you only with the good, and I will faithfully hold you to that always, for you must have done me far more good that harm, let me feel now what sharp distress I may. O God bless you, God forgive you!”(Dickens 285). This quote represents the impossible and the cruel love between Estella and Pip, and this is very emotinal. Also the quote tells how much Pip loves Estella. Pip’s love is all about himself and it is not entirely selfless. Pip describes his love in images of nature and the landscape that he has.
The goal is to uncover each child’s unique motivations and use these to teach them the skills they need to know for life. Joining a child with autism rather than stopping them, will make a difference in gaining their trust. Having their trust will draw a close connection with them, making it possible for improved communication. Undoubtedly, the building blocks for a successful life with autism is to add a positive outlook. In addition to changing your reaction to their behaviors. I believe that these changes of going against the grain, will show the improvement of interactions.
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is real. In this response paper, I will discuss the associated impairments and potential etiology of ADHD, and underlying reason of the sharply increased diagnosing cases in the United States.
“On first looking into Chapman’s Homer” was written by John Keats in October 1816. Chapman, George Chapman is who translated the works of Homer, the great Greek poet “father of poets”. This poem is in the form of a sonnet which has fourteen lines. It was considered Keats’ first major poem, and it is about poetry, it includes a metaphor, “travell’d through the realms of gold” which is one of Keats’ poetic techniques which means Keats read lots of books and it is what inspired him. This poem includes an image of a Spanish soldier and adventurer Cortez and his men staring at the Pacific (Cortez conquered Mexico in 1519 meaning he was more a warrior than explorer. This shows Keats’ own ambitions as a poet). In this poem Keats talks about circumnavigating the world of literature and he explains in detail, what books he is reading. which is what makes this poem more interesting. The main theme of is this poem is discovery, where Keats is talking about his discoveries in his books.
Literature, as does philosophy and art, follows a continuous wave; with every the crest of a new era, there is a trough from the pervious era. When a new age of style and ideals surfaces, the ideas are often directly against the ideas of the previous period. The Romantic period was an era of emotion, it was no longer about logic or preciseness as it was during the time of Enlightenment period. Both artists and poets of the Romantic period, like John Keats, focused on the expression of feeling and demonstrated an affinity for nature. In John Keats’s “Ode on a Grecian Urn,” Keats brings to life images displayed on an ancient urn. The images, that become displayed in our minds, are of beauty, love, and happiness, all which have been conserved throughout the years despite the rise and fall of civilizations and kingdoms. This creation parallels the seemingly ideal and eternal world depicted on the urn, with the world Keats was born to live in. The truth that is extracted from this poem provides both answers and mysteries that, as T.S. Elliot explains, can either be seen as a “blemishing” factor or something truly profound. If it had not been for the upbringing Keats had growing up, his work would not have captured the same mastery it does now that is seen in his manipulation of sound, and use of rhetorical devices.
The reason why I want to be a teacher is because I want to help educate others, and also to aid them in discovering their own purposes in life. I want to help students to understand that it is okay to be yourself, to be creative, and to be outspoken. I want to share with my students all of the knowledge that I have gained throughout my life and education, and teach them how to relate that knowledge to their own personal experiences. It is my belief that teachers are the ‘miracles workers’ of the world, and that without them, we would have no doctors, lawyers, or even plumbers. I have strong faith in the belief that teachers are the people who are wholly responsible for opening the doors of realization when students are looking for their own occupational niches.
After meeting her and Estella, Pip develops a strong desire to become a gentleman instead of a blacksmith. Miss Havisham leads a life of luxury that Pip wants to join. She is also against the entire male species after she was left at the altar thus she is very cold and heartless towards Pip because he is her latest victim. Estella, who grew up in her adoptive mother’s shadow, has developed a similar personality. She has a strong disdain for Pip and is always scorning and insulting him by saying things such as “‘common laboring-boy’” (54). Despite this, Pip develops a strong admiration for Estella and is eager to alter his personality to become worthy of her attention and expectations. For Pip to get Estella to fall in love with him, he creates a false self-based on the criteria that she gives him. Because of Estella’s and Miss Havisham’s maltreatment towards Pip, he becomes self-aware of him “commonness” and starts to feel shameful of his upbringing. Additionally, the fact that Pip thinks that Miss Havisham is his benefactor, prompts him to fit the mold that he believes she would desire. This is all to impress her and hopefully be allowed to marry Estella in the future. Thus, he becomes a snob and is influenced to act as they do, such as being conscious of class and wealth and judging others because of it. But personally, in response to his shame, becoming a gentleman will also allow him to become something that he is not ashamed of, a man of great expectations. Ultimately, instead of trying to discover his identity, he decides to upgrade in
Teachers should try to make the class as interesting as possible. If the students are interested in learning they will try harder and learn better. Teachers should be a positive influence on their student’s lives. They should not only teach them the basic subjects, but also try to make them become better people by being involved with them. Some parents don’t care how their children act and don’t try to help them overcome problems such as shyness; therefore it is left up to the teacher to help these students. This is where the teacher should become a friend and role model for the students.
As we reminisce and reflect back either on our childhood or academic career, we tend to have that one teacher who was memorable to us in some way - for their sense of humor, their stellar personality, or perhaps having that charisma and charm no other teacher had to make a difficult subject and it 's concepts fun to learn. While knowledge is power, I firmly believe that it is rather the exchange and distribution of knowledge that is power. When one can educate the masses there is no doubt that together we can accomplish great things. Becoming a teacher would mean the opportunity to be able to witness the shaping and molding of the minds of the future generations and the satisfaction knowing that you have helped your students set themselves onto the right path and provide guidance towards the creation of a better tomorrow. Choosing to become a teacher will allow me not only to educate my students, but also educate myself to be a better teacher throughout my career. I believe it is a function of human nature to want to change the world for the better. In adulthood, I have learned that the improvement of the welfare of the world must begin with
I believe teachers should serve as role models and be the center of a classroom. In order to maintain that students stay on task and are all on the same page, the teacher needs to serve as a guide and direct the students. I do not believe that students learn best in a textbook based setting, but that textbooks are important when referencing material. I believe all students learn differently and look for new ideas or ways to teach lessons and concepts, so that my students can learn as effectively as possible. I also believe that a teacher teaches much more than the subject. It is very important for students in my classroom to something other than the subject that I teach. I want them to learn life skills that will help them in more areas and aspects of their life other than education. I believe my students should strive for hard work, dedication, and integrity, and go beyond learning just the content of a
In essence, the poem is composed of eight extensive sentences. That Yeats writes the poem in a consistent abababcc (Ottava Rima) rhyme scheme shows how mundane and dreary life has become for the speaker. Through the contrast of the speaker’s life with that of youthful children, Yeats shows the different stages of life. By reflecting life and obsessing over the individual stages, the speaker beings to understand that the importance of appreciating the whole as neither can exist without the other.
