Teachers and their students have a special relationship; what they do affects each other. Teachers and students can't survive without one another since there would be no teacher without any student. Based on this special relationship, a certain expectation has been developed in the classroom environment. Gradually, some spoken or unspoken rules and systems have been established between these two individuals which exist till now. On the surface, the main aspect of this relationship has been founded, typically on responsibility and obligation that these individuals feel about each other, yet, in depth there are other elements into teacher and student's relationship which work more than obligation.. Although, the nature of teacher and student responsibility is different from each other, there is an aspect that needs to be considered above any other aspect, and that is, the relationship must be meaningful for both these two individuals. But what makes a relationship meaningful between teachers and students, in a way that, teachers could love student and student could like them enough to let them teach and finally who has the greater responsibility?
To address the above questions, we could say that, the student's main responsibility consists of, respecting the teacher , learning what is taught, and applying the material that has been taught. Moreover, students, occasionally are encouraged to be prompt, neat and polite: to work hard to succeed, respect school authority and respect other people's property. On the other hand, obviously, the role of an educator is to teach, in a way that helps student learn the subject matter easily. I strongly believe that the educator has the great responsibility in educating students.. Students le...

...ess some successful teachers who used cooperative group in class. they centered their activity on values of kindness, and discussed dilemmas in conjunction with subject materials. I notice these teachers provided opportunity to reduce misunderstanding and improve communication. I noticed, how cooperation freed these individuals time and energy for more important task of learning. By learning to work together they learned to work through conflict. I myself was among those student who benefited from teaches who cared to listen to me when I was helpless of finding a solution to my problems .They helped me when I was fearful those teachers always were there for me to facilitate my learning of materials. They made life meaningful for me. Efforts of these faithful and trustworthy teachers make a school safe to learn and provide a healthy environment ready to be benefite.

During the study of various reforms that were proposed and denied, both the GOP and Democrats attempted to find a balance that would guarantee the success of their proposals. Years of research, growing ideologies, political views and disregard for the country's constitution sparked an array of alternatives to solve the country's healthcare spending. The expenditure of US healthcare dollars was mostly due to hospital reimbursements, which constitute to 30% (Longest & Darr, 2008). During the research for alternatives, the gr...
People face ethical dilemmas every day. But it is perhaps, most prevalent in the law enforcement profession. Law enforcement officers face ethical dilemmas constantly. Some of the ethical issues that police face each day are: racial profiling, officer discretion, police officer loyalty, police officer abuse, and interrogatory deception. This paper will discuss the purpose of interrogatory deception, ways in which it is used, some of the current debates over the practice, and a landmark ruling in the Miranda case of 1966 which attempted to cease the use of intimidation and coercion practices of the police.
The poem “Students,” by Tom Wayman and the story, “Crow Lake,” by Mary Lawson presents two teachers who cope with the same difficulties of teaching. Although the teachers are faced with identical circumstances, their resolutions for the problem vary. Wayman, in the poem, and the narrator in the story both fails to make connection with their students, however, Wayman understands his students’ behavior while the narrator refuses to communicate and simply gives up on teaching.
By respecting their individuality and uniqueness, I will be able to maintain good relationships with the students and be able to understand their individual strengths and weaknesses. Subsequently, I will be responsible for my actions and techniques used while teaching and at the same time hold each student responsible for their actions and statements. In encouraging a respectful environment for each student, learners will be held responsible for actions that seem to violate the accepted norms and learning culture within the
The article focuses on the importance of teacher-student relationships, especially for students with behavioral problems and learning disabilities. As the article mentions, the quality of interaction among teachers and students has a significant impact on student academic achievement at each grade level. Positive teacher-student relationship is one of the most critical components of effective classroom management. In fact, “When teacher-student relationships improve, concurrent improvements in classroom behavior such as reductions in aggression and increases in compliance with rules can be expected” (Alderman & Green, 2011, p. 39). The article centers on the social powers model, which entail the use of coercion, manipulation, expertness,
Classroom management plays an important role in effective teaching by providing a desirable environment which promotes better learning and student growth. The most important effect that classroom management has on student behavior is that it promotes better learning because students can better focus when their environment is free from distraction and conflict. When a teacher provides a well-organized and controlled environment, student’s academics interest and performance increase while behavioral issues decreased (Pope, 2010). One classroom management technique I plan to use in my future classroom setting will include the use of cooperative learning. According to Maher (2010), cooperation learning leads to higher group and individual achievement, higher-quality reasoning strategies, more frequent transfer of these from the group to individual members, greater metacognitive skills, and more new ideas and problem-solving. Students will be assigned heterogeneous groups with a mixture of high achievers with low achievers. Groups will also be created to ensure diversity between gender and ethnicity.
In some studies, the types of food that are craved by certain emotions are also discussed. According to Weltens, Zaho & Van Oudenhove (2014), fatty foods provoke a positive emotional response. There is a difference between wanting and liking fatty foods. Wanting, also referred to as craving, a food relies heavily on food–related cues such as sight and smell. Once we eat the foods we desire, a neurotransmitter called dopamine rewards value to that food; dopamine controls all rewards and pleasures in our
The focus of the discipline of criminology should be on improving as an art rather than attempting to be a science. First, it will be useful to discuss the important role that the field of criminology and the work of criminologists can have in shaping and imparting knowledge. That is, knowledge production and teaching the public about the reality of crime should be the primary focus of criminology. Next, the idea that change from within the discipline is possible will be contested in a few ways. Namely, previous attempts at change from within the framework of criminology have been unsuccessful because they end up being absorbed by the system that they sought to change. In turn, these programs end up replicating the dynamics and conditions of the existing system. This point will be examined concerning community intervention and community policing. Similarly, the proposition that public criminology could be the solution to the problems associated with criminology will also be discussed. Furthermore, the usefulness of public criminology will be challenged from the standpoint that criminologists are not equipped with the proper tools for implementation and that public criminology is as susceptible to being absorbed into the existing framework as other previous attempts at
The students must trust that the teacher has their best interest at heart. This trust will help build a positive relationship between student and teacher. This is important for giving the students a sense of purpose, as they will then be more motivated to succeed. This allows them to be more active in class activities and engage in discussion. Not only is trust important between teacher and student, but also between students. A student should not fear ridicule when providing their opinion or an answer. This is a teacher’s responsibility to establish a sense of community by allowing students to get to know each other and develop positive relationships throughout the entire classroom. Students must be made aware that it’s our differences that make us unique, but it’s our similarities that make us human. The classroom should be a place of acceptance, where every student’s well-being is
...se situations, cooperative learning should be a strong presence in every classroom and in every subject and can serve to improve not only student achievement, but students’ attitudes about school as well.
Criminology is the study of crime and criminals; a branch of sociology. More accurately, it is the study of crime as a social trend, and its overall origins, its many manifestations and its impact upon society as a whole. That makes it more a form of sociology than a law enforcement tool. But the trends it studies have a huge impact on the way the police do their jobs, the way society treats its criminals, and the way a given community goes about maintaining law and order. The writer will describe and give examples of the three perspectives of viewing crimes. The perspectives that will be highlighted are the consensus view, the conflict view or the interactionist view. Each perspective maintain its own interpretation of what constitutes criminal activities and what causes people to engage in criminal behaviors (Siegel, p.12).
Research for the cooperative learning structure has demonstrated that it can really enhance a student’s achievement, attitude towards learning, and the atmosphere where learning takes place. According to Akinbobola, “Cooperative learning is a mode of learning in which students work in small groups to achieve a purpose. Here there is an emphasis on the importance of group work, students in a group help each other in learning the content, but achievement is judged individually” (2009, p.2). The cooperative learning structure encourages students to
Teachers serve as the guiding force in a student’s life. They are responsible for molding a student’s personality and shaping his/her mental orientation. Teachers deeply impact our lives and direct the course of our future. One cannot deny the influence of teachers in one’s life. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration to say that, till a certain age, out life revolves around our teachers. They are our constant companions, until we grow old enough to come out of their shadow and move ahead on our own.
With this, the students will be more eager to speak in depth about the lesson or ask questions. When students are interacting more, this causes less of a frustration from the teacher and they are more willing to spend time with the students to make sure they comprehend the lesson being taught, and that they are able to critically think about it. Thus, it enables both the students and the teachers to overcome their titles, where no one is higher than or less than the other. However, although there is a bond between the teacher and the student, it is important that a boundary is set, and not to be crossed by either one. They must remain respectable to each other, and to understand that not everyone thinks the same. The purpose of this relationship is for the teachers to increase the students ' desire to learn.
