Best Man Wedding Speech
Its turning out to be a day packed full new experiences for me. It’s the first time I’ve had the honour of being a best man, It’s the first time that Brandon has complimented me in over 30 years, and it’s the first time I’ve got a free dinner out of him since that kebab he bought me back in 93. So far things have been going pretty well…until now. Start the car Steve.
Ladies, Gentlemen, boys, girls Brandon and Lisa,
First of all, let me begin on behalf of the bridesmaids, Michelle, Ellie, Hannah and Emily, I would like to thank Brandon for his kind words, and I have to say they look absolutely wonderful and have done an excellent job today.
The great thing about being a best man, which incidentally is short for best Brandon can manage, is that you get to paint a picture of the man whom Lisa has just committed the rest of her life to.
A man is best described through his actions and despite having known Brandon for nearly thirty years now I think I could probably describe all of his actions within the next five minutes.
Not that he is lazy, far from it, rather than be a jack of all trades he prefers to carefully focus his efforts
When asked once in the pub what where his favourite hobbies and pastimes, after serious thought and consideration he replied, ‘I quite like sitting’.
So here before us is a man who dedicates his free time to the conservation of energy and the en...

... a few words of worldly advice. Being a bachelor myself, this has proved a bit too difficult for me, so I asked my mum and dad how they managed over 40 years of wedded bliss.
My Mom said: Lisa a man is like a tiled floor - lay it right first time and you can spend years walking all over it!
And from my Dad: Jus the best way to remember your anniversary is to forget just once!
I apologise if those jokes are a bit old but then so are my parents!
If my throat was dry when I started this speech its even drier now, and I can think of no better remedy than to drink to the health, wealth and eternal happiness of the newlyweds.
So please raise your glasses to drink a toast to Brandon and Lisa Haterson.
With every business activity come opportunities for fraudulent behavior which leads to a greater demand for auditors with unscathed ethics. Nowadays, auditors are faced with a multitude of ethical issues, and it is even more problematic when the auditors fail to adhere to the standards of professional conducts as prescribed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The objective of this paper is to analyze the auditors’ compliance with the code of professional conduct in the way it relates to the effectiveness of their audits.
Robert Frost is often known as one of the greatest American poets of all time. Although he is sometimes remembered as hateful and mean spirited, his life was filled with highs and lows. These differentiating periods are represented throughout his poetry. Frost once said that “A poem begins in delight, and ends in wisdom.” As can be seen, this quote not only reflected his poetry, but his life. Though many years of his life were troubled by misfortune, Frost always seemed to persevere. Robert Frost was a talented, thoughtful poet whose life was filled with complexity and tragedy (brainyquote.com).
Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen - My name is Steve and this is my partner in crime, Scot. We are the best men today, famed for our double act. Some people may even say we were artists, but I think you'll all realize what kind of artists we are later on this evening.
In the novel, The Things They Carried, the chapter The Man I Killed tells the story of a main character Tim who killed a Viet Cong solider during the Vietnam War. The author Tim O’Brien, describes himself as feeling instantaneously remorseful and dealing with a sense of guilt. O’Brien continues to use various techniques, such as point of view, repetition, and setting, to delineate the abundant amount of guilt and remorse Tim is feeling.
Robert Lee Frost was born in San Francisco, California on March 26 of 1974 and died in Boston, Massachusetts on January 29 of 1963. Though he did not truly start publishing poems until age thirty-nine, Frost obtained four Pulitzer prizes in his writing career and was deemed one of the greatest twentieth century poets. His pastoral writing and skilled use of meter and rhythm has captured the attention of reader’s and critics for decades (Academic American, 345). Frost was very fond of nature and the beauty of things around him and illustrated this in many of his poems. A reviewer stated that Frost was “always occupied with the complicated task of simply being sincere” (Faggen, I). This statement describes the writer well in the sense that Frost’s works are very full of emotion. His use of the English language and the fact that he often seemed to be holding a little something back in his writing has made him one of the most celebrated American writers ever.
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I would like to echo the groom's sentiments and mention that all the bridesmaids look truly beautiful, indeed.
Ladies and Gentlemen – I’ll start by thanking Brian on behalf of the bridesmaids for his kind words.
On June 27, 2015, my entire life flashed before my eyes. I never could have anticipated what that particular day had in store for me and my best friend, Virginia. It was the day after my birthday and I felt the excitement built up in my chest as we drove to Charleston, South Carolina to celebrate on the beach. It was our last summer together before we both headed off to college and all I hoped for were a few last joyful moments spent soaking up the sun before we had to part ways. I thought the trip would be unforgettable, and I was right.
Usually when someone is murdered, people expect the murderer to feel culpable. This though, is not the case in war. When in war, a soldier is taught that the enemy deserves to die, for no other reason than that they are the nation’s enemy. When Tim O’Brien kills a man during the Vietnam War, he is shocked that the man is not the buff, wicked, and terrifying enemy he was expecting. This realization overwhelms him in guilt. O’Brien’s guilt has him so fixated on the life of his victim that his own presence in the story—as protagonist and narrator—fades to the black. Since he doesn’t use the first person to explain his guilt and confusion, he negotiates his feelings by operating in fantasy—by imagining an entire life for his victim, from his boyhood and his family to his feeling about the war and about the Americans. In The Man I Killed, Tim O’Brien explores the truth of The Vietnam War by vividly describing the dead body and the imagined life of the man he has killed to question the morality of killing in a war that seems to have no point to him.
It is highly essential for accountants and business professionals to maintain a standard of ethical conduct in the workplace as the nature of their work places them in position of trust. (Senarante, 2011). Accountants have the responsibility to ensure that their duties are performed in accordance with the five fundamental principles set out in the Code of Professional Ethics such as integrity, objectivity, professional competence and due care, confidentially and professional behaviour (Cunningham et al. 2014). Accountants are expected to be reliable and trustworthy. Thus they are required to act ethically in relation to their clients, employers and the general public in order to provide quality services in the best interest of the society (Eginiwin & Dike, 2014). The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) have established a code of ethics for accountants, allowing each specific country to add their own national ethical standards to the code to reflect cultural differences. The code provides emphasis on the five fundamental principles as well as resolution of ethical conflicts. In Australia, professional accounting bodies such as CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICCA) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) adopt the Australian Professional and Ethical

Ladies and gentlemen, thanks Gary for those kind words. It has been a pleasure for all us attendants to play a small part in your big day. Before I say a word or two about the groom, what about that dress Jeanie is wearing? It has attracted so much favorable comment from the guests here that I have to give it a special mention. You look stunning Jeanie!
And, on behalf of the bridesmaids, I’d like to thank Anthony for his kind words. I certainly agree that they did a great job today.
Hedging depends across various motives. For example, if a manager intends to minimize corporate taxes, he will hedge taxable income. Stulz (1984) and Smith and Stulz (1985) indicate that progressive tax rates and consequently convex tax schedules cause the firm’s expected tax liability to rise with variance of taxable income, indicating that hedging boosts firm value by decreasing the present value of future tax liabilities. If the corporate managers’ main concern to reduce financial distress costs and if the manager can faithfully communicate the company’s probability of default, the manager’s strategy will concentrate on the market value of debt and equity.
