Personal Narrative- Contributing to Society
I am one of those people that you’d probably term “normal”. I attend a normal school, I work at a normal job, I have a normal life. You wouldn’t single me out on the street: there is nothing remarkable about me, I am one of the many. So, what has someone like me got to say that would make any difference to this world? I haven’t fought the important socio-political battles of this century; I haven’t done anything that will be recorded in the world annals. Yet, I believe that I can contribute towards a healthier society.

Incentive compensation should communicate a company’s overall objectives and be structured so as to reward performance while ensuring overall company growth objectives are met. One type of an incentive is a structured incentive, these incentives have two components; (1) they must be capable of fluctuating as performance changes, and (2) based on a specific accomplishment that is understood by both management and the employee. Examples include but are not limited to piece rate (set dollar amount for every product sold), profit sharing, or set percentage of the total dollar amount sold. Whichever pay structure is implemented it will be important that the incentive be linked to pay for performance. It is presently clear that resources make it difficult to offer competitive salaries that are aligned with the larger competitors. Therefore, linking pay for performance will ensure optimal results for both the company and the employee. With three siblings, I have been forced to be able to work out problems from stealing each other’s toys to having to rush to the emergency room to get stiches because my brother chased me around the house and I tripped. Within my fifteen and a half years of living, I have experienced many heart wrenching moments that have changed who I am, so many that I stopped trying to keep count long ago. Like most teenagers, the past couple of years have been some of the most confusing, hectic years of my life. I'm at that age I'm trying to figure out who I am, as well as who I want to become. As indecisive as I am, I will more than likely change my mind a time or two, but right now at this very moment, I've finally come to terms with who I really am, and what I would like to do for the rest of my life.
Personal Narrative: The World The world is a messed up place and we are all stuck here until our lives are through, or until we choose to leave. It's strange that I go along with everything everyone tells me, such as that I should wear certain clothes or listen to certain songs. I often wonder why I do the things I do, but then I just realize that's who I am. People are confused about why they are here, and they don't understand what life is supposed to be about.
In my short 16 years there have been many experiences I have encountered in life that shape who I am. My identity today. As time has passed experiences have come one after another for me to learn. What has shaped me influenced me in this short time period are many things the topic around this lies around my social construct. I am a lot of things, I am someone who looks as a shy, quite, smart, nice etc. person. Those simple qualities that make who I am have been influenced upon me and in general just who I am. What has shaped me present day is my family structure and my education the most to shape my identity.
The times we spent at each class, discussing about what success meant to us has allowed me to take a closer look at who I really was, and has made a great impact on myself. Personally, I have never thought about who I really was, nor what I was good or weak at. I always thought it didn’t matter if I was good or bad, but that I can always get better. However, lately, I have been reminded, from the passionate classes Mr. M has spent, talking to us, of our strengths and weaknesses I had, in which made me think of who I was at school, and who I was at home. Was I different? When Mr. M discussed this in class, I knew instantly that I was a different person at home and at school. At home, I am much more lively and outgoing than I am at school. To

What is society and how did it help shape me into the person I am today? First, society is the state of living in organized groups of people. These organized groups of people are the ones that made me who I am today and will continue to shape me, as I grow older. My version of society is white middle class people who grow up going to catholic schools. These white middle class people are only associated with other white middle class people, and very seldom venture out of this little society. As stupid as that sounds to not associate with other people it is true. The reason this is true is because of where I live, where I go to school, and who my friends are. I guess it is just like Emerson said, “the virtue in most request is conformity.” So, the three social forces that have played the biggest impact on my life are my community, my friends (family) and my education.
