The most embarrassing moment of my life though me an important lesson about how to ask for help when it is needed. Everyone has an extremely embarrassing experience that seems horrifically terrible at the time, but upon reflection becomes a completely hilarious occurrence in their life. This episode can be anything from falling down the grand staircase in high school, to splattering a pan of chicken in the walk-in cooler at work.
I had been working for the Applebee’s for almost two years, in which my primary job was “front house” position serving. I occasionally worked in the kitchen, but not enough to know the entire swing of things that well. This particular night was a pretty ordinary night at the restaurant. I was situated on my tables, and was also scheduled to close that same position. As closing time rolled around I found myself doing couple of tasks, and to accomplish them I needed to be able to access the sink. I walked over to the sink to find an enormous bucket filled to the brim with water and chicken. This bucket needed to be carried to the cooler for the night, but wh...

My Most Embarrassing Moment - Personal Narrative Essay - My Most Embarrassing Moment - Personal Narrative Ding. Ding. Ding. It was everywhere, pen, pencil, papers, rubbers, sharpeners and games. I woke up in a room which looked like a recycling truck. I was so hooked up with my homework and playing my games to the next level that I didn’t even know that I went to sleep. I wasn’t in the mood to go to school. I just wanted to wake up when I wanted to, eat ice cream for breakfast, complete all my games, watch films and then go to bed when I got tired....   [tags: Papers] 736 words

Embarassing Moment Essay example - People say it’s like friendship, everyone can see it but only you get the warm pleasant sensation. What they don’t tell you is that it’s not a pleasant experience, they don’t tell you the overwhelming embarrassment you feel, and they don’t tell about the self-consciousness that ensues. The experience diminishes any enjoyment from the rest of the world around you. All you can think about is the consequence of your action. Nothing can tarnish your memory of the happiest place on earth quite like the warm intimate feeling that everyone can see....   [tags: personal narrative] 1240 words

Essay on My Most Embarrassing Moment - It was in December, during my Christmas vacation, when I decided to start looking for a summer job. There were many options but the job I decided to apply for was a position as a lifeguard at a waterpark. I filled out an application and was accepted almost immediately. The only thing left was the lifeguard training; little did I know that it was going to be an experience I would never forget. The aquatic rescue part of the training was held the week of my spring break. I was excited about the training session because I was finally going to meet some of the people that would work with me and get to see what the job was like....   [tags: Personal Narrative, essay about myself] 986 words

My Most Embarassing Day Ever Essay examples - Dear Diary, Today was the most embarrassing day of my life. I hope this will never happen to me again. Here’s how my day went. I woke up this morning around 7:30am. It was the Grand Final day for my Under 17’s football side. We were undefeated. I was the full forward and so far I have kicked ninety seven goals. I need at least three more goals this game to get my first one hundred goal season. I was going through my normal Sunday morning football routine. Get up, eat breakfast (nine wheat bix and two glasses of orange juice) and get changed for footy....   [tags: essays research papers] 588 words

Essay about Richard Connell's The Most Dangerous Game - “Hunting is not a sport, in a sport both sides should know they’re in the game”(Paul Rodriguez)."The Most Dangerous Game," an adventure tale that pits two notorious hunters against one another in a life and death competition, is the story for which Richard Connell is best remembered. First published in 1924, the story has been frequently drawn together as a classic example of a suspenseful narrative loaded with action. Connell's story raises questions about the nature of violence, cruelty and the ethics of hunting for sport....   [tags: The Most Dangerous Game]

In the Moment Essay - "Time is an absurdity, an abstraction. The only thing that matters is the moment." (Nolan 12). If this is true, then in the story "Memento Mori" and the movie Memento, it is ironic how the main character, Leonard, who is suffering from severe memory loss, is constantly trying to figure out the past, even though he knows he will not remember it once he learns what has happened. His wife is dead, and he is searching through a system of notes and Polaroid pictures for her killer. Though the story is unclear at first, through narration, structure, and repetition, the plot of the story becomes clearer....   [tags: American Literature] 613 words

This Is The Moment Essay - This IS the moment This war-torn land shows nothing but death and the dying. The ground is muddy from the rain, which also makes the ground wet. Up above the trench line is barbed wire and … nothing else. No birds, no animals … no people. A few dead bodies of the brave men going to assassinate the enemy by night fall. No. No one makes it. Never. There’s the constant gun bangs and the sound of explosions from the grenades. The sky is lit up by the flashes of guns against the silver clouded sky. Nobody dares to look up for more than a few seconds otherwise the enemy sharpshooters will get them....   [tags: Personal Experience, Autobiography] 757 words

Essay about The Moment - Cursing as the last of the embers slowly died out, he stuffed his pipe into the logs to light the herb. Content, he took a long drag, leaning back on his elbows, inhaling the salty smell of the quietly splashing waves which had a surprisingly calming effect on him. “I thought you gave up that horrendous habit,” drawled an unmistakable voice. He looked up. She was feet away from him, yet hidden in the shadows. Her long, white dress and loose stands of hair billowing in the cool breeze. Her ring still glints at her finger, yet she removes it and tosses it into the sand to bury as soon as she realises its presence....   [tags: A Short Story] 560 words

A Moment of Innocence Essay - A Moment of Innocence When I walked into class that day I was indifferent to the movie that we would be watching that evening. Five minutes into A Moment of Innocence (1995) by Mohsan Makhmalbaf, I was hooked. By taking a pseudo-documentary style Makhmalbaf lets us see the people as they are transformed into the characters from the director’s past. This style allows us to “grow up” with them and to relate to both sides of the story. By taking a true event and fictionalizing, at least part of it, Makhmalbaf has us trying to figure out what parts have been added to the narrative and which parts truly speak to history....   [tags: essays papers] 1145 words

Courageous Moment Essay - My most courageous moment that I can recall occurred when I used to skateboard. There was a skate park on Main Street in Sultan which had several obstacles that allowed skateboarders to perform a variety of tricks. There were three main types of tricks you could do at the local skate park; The Drop, The Grind, and The Jump. In The Drop, riders climb to the top of a steep ramp then ride down, quickly picking up speed. In The Grind, you would gain enough speed and balance on a steel beam as you skid across it quickly....   [tags: skateboarding, achievement, tricks] 650 words
