Christian Teachings About Treating People Less Fortunate Than Themselves
The world is divided into two sections, these are both given names.
One is the Rich North; the people who live in this area have a good
standard of living and a prosperous life. The other is the Poor South;
the people who live here do not have a very good standard of living,
they suffer greatly due to lack of vital resources needed to stay
alive. Why is this though? Well there is more than one reason that the
Poor South became a place of poverty and low standards of living and
that the Rich North did not follow the same patter, instead became the
opposite. One of the main causes of poverty in the Poor South is due
to the ever increasing population, the people would be able to share
the food more equally and have a lot more if they did not have so many
children; as however there is no state pension they need to insure
they can survive and have enough food for when they get older. This is
why they have more children. Hunger and thirst is also a big factor as
they do not get the right amount of vitamins and so therefore are more
vulnerable to disease, even though the EU have enough food to give
them all they would need, nobody wants to pay for this. Other causes
of poverty are Debt as many countries owe money to other countries
through devastations etc, Wars and conflicts between two countries
where they put all there money into making weapons and many people
will become homeless and through natural disasters people become
homeless.
The Brandt report was produced in 1980 by Willy Brandt, former
chancellor of West Germany. In this report were put documents on the
difference of the Rich and Poor. It was the first of its kind as it
looked in detail at the extent of the problem on how the country first
struck poverty. The report was very important as it was the first to
look at the causes of poverty; it set out the things that needed to

Wealth inequality did not always exist in human life. In fact, “Human life have not only been changed, but revolutionized, within the past hundred years” (Carnegie 1). There used to be
Rambam’s “Obligations to the Poor” from the Mishneh Torah help us understand how we should interact with the people who are less fortunate than us. As Professor Isador Twersky has said, “Maimonides’ [treatment of tzedakah] illustrates the need for sensitivity, tact, and graciousness in the act of charity. The formal, objective act of giving charity is deficient and defective if it is not characterized by kindness and sympathy.” This directly relates to the chapter in the Mishnah that we have been studying in Rabbinic Literature.
The poor were divided into three different groups by the government. The first group was labeled the “helpless...
With the rise of big business and industrialization came several problems associated with the economic boom. The rich were getting richer. The poor were getting poorer. The gap between the "haves" and the "have nots
Knowing our cultures is very important in understanding our environment as well as of others. It also help us understand how people take different aspects of life including diet. This is because culture determines our perception and attitudes toward particular issues about which is helpful and which is not, what makes sense and what does not. Some cultures prefer quantity meals to quality food which can lead to obesity or even some cardiovascular diseases to people of that culture while others prefer a balanced diet hence a healthy body, in central America, in particular Honduras and Guatemala, they prefer frying their food first. Due to this method of cooking it is possible to have a devastating health effect on the

Times have changed since the Puritans came to America in 1630. Our culture’s values have changed from strict, religious morality to uninhibited and loose. Religion is no longer a major part of most of our lives. John Winthrop, the leader of the Separatists who left England for the New World in 1630, was the governor and religious model of the colony. His sermon A Model of Christian Charity was designed for a community of 700 Puritan ideologists. The sermon emphasizes God’s total power. People in modern times have realized that God doesn’t punish them for keeping their surplus or making a profit. People no longer fear God’s wrath the way they did 400 years ago. A Model of Christian Charity has become irrelevant in a modern, materialistic world.

Nutrition could have been better with this family. They had some sugary cereals for breakfast and donuts often. During the day the kids fixed their own meals. They ate a lot of pizza and ramen noodles. They ate a lot of processed foods during the day. Evening meal was more balanced. I think their nutrition level would be better for the kids when they were in school.
This study shows an increase in inequality of Christians in other Countries. There is a increase in the amount of restrictions and laws put on Christians and their Human Rights in other Countries with more Government leaders putting guidelines on other religions and not liking the freedoms that the people in the western Countries have, like the United States. What we can do to help with this problem
Or the Japanese. Or the Italians. Or the Greeks” because he declares that “if it weren’t so healthy, the people who follow it wouldn’t still be around” (Pollan). He emphasizes not only on what they eat, but how they eat, so aspects such as small portions and no seconds are significant. I comply with this rule because at home, we focus more on feeling full than taking pleasure in the taste of the food. Berkeley Wellness also refers to this in their “14 Keys to a Healthy Diet”. The author advises that we should check serving sizes especially when choosing to eat higher-calorie foods. When my parents prepare a meal, they always serve us in small or medium sized plates that way there is an illusion of enough food on the plate, when in reality it’s most likely less than we might think. Additionally, my parents’ home cooked meals are almost exactly enough for the entire family and rarely are there ever leftovers. This is because my parents consider the serving size for each of us and they nearly never allow seconds, unless it 's on special occasions such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, but even then they have to consider it. Keeping an eye on my food portion and serving size leads to a healthy and balanced diet. This is because it allows me to consider the portions for protein, vegetables, fruits, grains and dairy and consume all the possible nutritions I
