There are many solutions to reduce the amount of green house gases in
the atmosphere, which causes Global Warming.
A main culprit for global warming is the use of CFC's
(chlorofluorocarbons). If the use of CFC's was reduced, the number of
greenhouse gases will be reduced by a great deal (however there are
many other thing that cause dramatic amounts of greenhouse gases
including carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide). The items that contain
CFC's are regular house hold items, but they can have a devastating
effect on the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. They are
found in aerosols, plastic foam and fridges. However now that the
scientists have a greater knowledge on the effect of CFC's the
government had banned the selling of objects with CFC's in; and also
great care is needed when disposing of older items containing CFC's
e.g. fridges. CFC's are 40 times more effective as a greenhouse gas
then carbon dioxide. So reducing the amount of CFC's used will have a

According to Mrs. Graciela Chichilnisky, the CEO of global thermostat, there is a solution to our global warming problem, by capturing the CO2 from the atmosphere and use it alternatively to create other products. The idea here is to protect our earth from global warming and by absorbing the carbon emissions, we can reduce the damage to our environment by reversing the process. The carbon gases that we already absorbed can also be used for plastic, synthetic fuel, and beverages.
Overall, emissions of CO2 increased by 0.3% to 6.8 tons per person in the United States. Emissions of greenhouse gases other than carbon dioxide, which account for 17% of total greenhouse gas emissions, declined by 0.6%.

Therefore, after assessing all facts of the problem, I humbly propose that we collect the CO2¬, compress it, and then place it into soda cans. Then, we shall store the soda cans underground, whence the CO2 originally came.

As we human beings have entered the Anthropocene, a new geological epoch dominated by humanity. The relentless pressure we have put on our planet has increased daily at a speedy pace, which has resulted in an unprecedented destabilization of climate change. What’s worse, our disagreement with climate change has left the planet in an even more dangerous crisis. The economic imbalance between the developed countries and the developing countries, lack of the awareness of sustainable development and are the two main obstacles stand on the way. One way to decrease global warming includes simply turning off lights and gadgets after use. Some electronics use more power off then on. Since wealthier industrial countries use most of the world’s fossil fuels, they not surprisingly contribute most to this phenomenon. Green energy is a type of energy we use daily. We have many types of energy including Coal, oil, wind, electric, wind, solar geothermal, water, natural gas, biomass, nuclear, and hydrogen. Out of those 12 energies, only wind, solar, geothermal, water, and biomass are renewable and are green. While4 of the remaining, coal, oil natural gas, and nuclear are non-renewable and are not green. Lastly, the remaining 2 energies, electricity and hydrogen are secondary energy sources. After nearly a century of use, CFC’s have finally been almost totally eliminated from production on the face of the planet. It seems as though we have finally taken a step in the right direction as far as preserving our ozone and our climate. Unfortunately, the repercussions of CFC’s will not go away anytime in the near future. Their effects will be felt well into the next century, as they continue to eat up what remains of our ozone and heat up our planet. Even after all of the CFC’s have decomposed, it will take generations before the ozone can begin to regenerate. That is one positive aspect of all this, and our future depends on it -- the damage done today is not irreversible -- but without immediate and drastic action, it will be.

Even though global climate change presents a massive problem there are many proposed solutions to fix or delay it. These theories range from creating a giant sun shield in space to the simple practice of “reduce, reuse, and recycle” (Gray, 2009). However the most effective solution is to find different sources of fuel to power our day to day lives. The earth is in need of renewable, effective, and long lasting fuels. Global warming can be slowed through the use of renewable energy as it is versatile, clean, a good investment, and can easily be put into place in several different climates and environments.
There needs to be a reduction if not extinction with the increasing amounts of carbon dioxide, methane, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), per-fluorocarbons (PFCs) and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere because it is directly affecting global warming. The combustion of fossil fuels and greenhouse emissions mainly contribute to the increase of these gases. The longer we go without solving this global problem the more conflicts we will have in the future. Although global warming does make the earth warmer there is more to worry about than heating to death. With the issue of global warming alternative sources of energy are looked for. “Data indicates that hydrogen is [the] only suitable future fuel.” (Williams, 102). Many scientists agree, but how long will it take for us to get there?
Climate change is a controversial subject that needs further investigation to conclusively prove to others that a problem exists. Even those trying to prove climate change will admit there are multiple variables that can affect the planet’s climate and many of those are not man-made.
