4 Week Training Program Design My name is John Doe, I'm 16 yrs old, my height is 5'6", and my weight is 8st 6lbs. I have been asked to design a 4-week training program for my PE coursework and to describe and explain all components of the whole program, energy systems, training principles and diets etc. I would describe myself as a fairly healthy person, and fairly fit too. Over the course of this program I aim to improve my fitness levels, and certain distances or times of different events that will help me with my chosen sport, which will be tennis. There will be certain factors that will affect my training regime these are: - · Facilities · When · Why- Specificity · How- what equipment etc. is used · [IMAGE] How long · How often- frequency F.I.T · How hard- overload Facilities The facilities I will and can use are, the school gym, any Newport council gym, my own home, my tennis club, parks and running tracks. When This is the main factor that will affect my training program, because I have to go to school, and I have to complete homework etc. But when I know I will have free time I will try to get to do some training. Why I will try to train specifically for my sport. But because I have chosen tennis this will mean that I have to train all of my body. I will obviously use my arm and legs, but I use also in different shots etc, different parts of my body. F.I.T Frequency I will often be working muscles every day from a morning paper round to an afternoon tennis match. But I will obviously not be able to do that every day, so I will try do some form o... ... middle of paper ... ...g Wednesday - rested Thursday - 2mile jog 13mins, 70min game of football Friday - Tennis 3 set match Saturday - 1hr tennis training session Sunday - 3 set match in tennis Monday - rested Week 4 Tuesday - football training Wednesday - Triple jump and discus, 4set tennis match and ride that was 5miles Thursday - Football match. I have many goals as an Athletic Training Student, and continuing my education is the biggest goal in order to be successful in my career and future goals. Eventually, I will earn a doctorate and go on to work at a professional level with a major league soccer team. I also aim to increase the knowledge and awareness of mental health within the field of athletic training.
I am eager to try rowing, fencing and water polo. This is not all however, because break dancing, debating and Army Cadets are also things that I am keen to involve myself in.
Scheduling and planning are necessary to be successful as a working student. Setting time aside for school assignments is a priority, but it is also important to build in personal time for you, your family, and friends (Blais & Hayes, 2011). S...
As I’m sitting at home on my bed trying to get all of my school work done on time for classes, I think of all the other things I could be doing or if I should even do it at all. I always end up playing with my puppy, searching the tv for something to watch, or go on social networks and put my homework aside to do later so I can think of ideas. Deciding on whether to even do it or not ends up with me wondering what would I do without a college education and how I need one to be able to pursue the career I want. I'm usually rushing right before classes to finish the assignments with the ideas I've gathered by then.

Assertive nurses are capable to build effective team relationships, to manage workplace stress, gaining self-confidence, and to earn respect from others while respecting them. Thinking skills training is the fundamental component of promoting assertiveness programs. This approach leads us to investigate the effectiveness of philosophizing as the manifest of thinking skills, on promoting assertiveness skill. The aim of this presentation is to explore the effects of philosophizing through the philosophy for children (P4C) program on promoting nurses assertiveness skill. Although P4C has been introduced to promote children´s thinking skills but according to our experiences, it is useful for adult population by some modification in the content. In this study 50 nurses randomly allocated to “P4C training” and “control” groups. 12 sessions of P4C training were conducted for 25 members of intervention group in three months.
According to Rue and Byars (2010), “orientation is not a one-time obligation, but an ongoing process” (p. 207). Training of employees can also be defined by this statement. Having an effective orientation and training plan is essential to the success of new employees and the organization as a whole. Ineffective training and orientation creates dissatisfaction with new employees which reduces morale and increases turnover (Giangreco, Sebastiano, & Peccei, 2009). The first step to successful entry of the new employee is planning the orientation.
this no more than once a week and surely not on days before a match,
My love for tennis blossomed at the young age of eleven. During middle school my peers knew me as the boy who was remarkably talented at tennis and I savored that title. Butterflies floated throughout my youthful body whenever someone complimented me. As the years passed, my dad nurtured me into a top player. Before I knew it high school arrived and it was time to compete at a higher level. My excitement was out of this world, but I knew my dad could no longer push me forward and my future was up to me. However, the ego I developed over the years blocked what lie in front of me. I wasn’t looking at the bigger picture; the hard work demanded of me, teamwork, and the motivation to reach an ultimate goal. Throughout my four years of participating
Training sessions aim to develop one’s skills and knowledge on a particular topic, usually to benefit their job performance (Hubbard, 2004, p. 124). Preparation is the inevitably one of the first stages of training sessions. According to Polonsky and Waller (2004) “effective presentations, academic or business require preparation” (p. 432). This stage can be separated into three subcategories, forming, storming and norming. Yeung (2000) defines forming as when the team assembled and storming being when discussion increases amongst the group members (p.18). Lastly, the stage where the group begins to develop and construct their project is referred to as norming (Yeung, 2000, p. 18). This paper will focus the reflection of the preparation phase as a whole, from the recent percussion training session conducted by, James Gilmore, Tik Man Mok (“Henry”), Nguyen Duc Danh (“Daniel”) and myself, Courtney VanGent. Overall, the training session was deemed satisfactory; I found that the core strengths were found in the preparation sector and included, the regular meetings and that there were no conflicts amongst the group members. Although the training was successful, the evaluation forms completed by the participants’ suggested that some trainers lacked a suitable about of knowledge of the topic and that the group should have spent more time practicing. Recommendations will also be made throughout so that future-training sessions can be considered effective.
Core training is one of the most important exercises of so-called functional training. You may have noticed that core training is very widespread in courses and workshops for fitness practitioners and professionals. This is for good reason: in almost every free form exercise (dumbbells, wires, bars) core muscles are stimulated, and if this body part is not fit the loss of motor control and efficiency increases the risk of lesion and muscle damage. Thus, a well-kept and robust trunk is vital for high load workouts. Here are 5 exercises for strengthening you core muscles.
