All children deserve to have an equal chance to learn and perform in any number of categories. The only problem is that not every child can function correctly for various reasons. The condition that I am covering is autism. Autism is a difficult symptom to correct because it is a brain disorder that takes time and much work with doctors and teachers. I wanted to learn more on this disorder because I have a family member that have this condition. Autism affects communication skills, social skills, creativity skills, and learning skills. The ways to help correct these symptoms would be early detection, early intervention, and how to educate children with autism.
Every parent wants to know what causes autism for their child. The only problem is that no one knows what causes autism. There are many signs and different theories, but no answers to what causes autism. Many different methods have been conducted to see the cause of autism. Methods like brain research, genetics, and neurochemistry have not solved this dilemma. The causes of autism have not been solved, and might never be discovered.
Parents want to know if their child can be cured and be able to live a normal life. The answer to that is no and yes. There is no cure for autism, but with the proper treatment and education, a child can grow and live a very normal life. There are many cases of people with autism living a normal based life, even though they still have autism. Autism is a life long condition that can not be cured, but people can still live normal lives. One person in particular (Peter) interested me as he lives a very normal life and is an inspiration to not only autistic people, but to everyone,
Today, things are much easier for me. I go to Inver Hills Community College, where I?m working for my associate of arts degree. I am very hopeful about my future. I?ve taken some very difficult classes in geography, but I have passed all of them with a fairly decent grade? This past October, I gave a talk in front of nearly three hundred people up in the Twin Cities about my autism?I talked about what autism felt like for me, and I told some funny stories? On the whole, this talk was a very big success for me. My talk brought tears to the eyes of many.
So far, the causes of ASD remain a mystery. However, researchers say that autism may
As the research shows, there are numerous ways to find treatments for autism. It is also important to keep up with the medical research because they seem to be finding and approving new treatments quite often. The most important part is finding out what is best for the individual and going from there.
This Paper is going to examine Autism. What is Autism? Autism is a disorder that affects an individual brain, impacting their development, causing delays such as cognitive, Language, and behavioral (Karst & Vaughn, Van Heck, 2012). Autism is classified as DSM-IV-TR disorder (Blewitt& Broderick, 2015). Autism does not discriminate it can affect anyone regardless of their race or social background. The probability that a child may be impacted from autism is 1 out of 110 (Blewitt& Broderick ,2015). Child development is important to the field of human service. Autism is a disorder that signifies a child development is not progressing. Dating back to the 1960’s many social scientists such as Sigmund Freud and Piaget began to study the development
It is unknown exactly what causes autism, but it is a biological problem and a
Despite its 50 year-old diagnosis, autism is still one of the mostly commonly contracted and rarely treated childhood diseases. Studies suggest that as many as 1 in 500 children may display autistic symptoms. Manifestations of this disability include the stereotypical physical contortions and hand-flapping motions commonly associated with autism, as well as inability to relate to the outside world, limited social skills, lack of concentration, and hypersensitivity to certain stimuli-particularly noise (1). Perceived causes include poor fetal development, genetics, allergies, and a lack of crucial enzymes. Because for many years the disorder was thought to be a result of poor parenting, only recent studies have begun any attempts to identify the causes of childhood autism. Many diagnosis and potential treatments have been tried only by the parents of autistics; undergoing research is still slow and often under-funded.
Every year doctors diagnose thousands of adults and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Due to the growing awareness of autism and recent developments in technology, scientists and doctors can now discover and observe the effects of autism on society, and people. Starting with its discovery, researchers have been able to diagnose people more effectively. Doctors are beginning to discover what causes this disorder, and are currently trying to find ways to prevent and treat it. Many places have opened their doors to people with this disorder, creating autistic friendly environments where people are patient and understanding. Schools have also become accommodating to autistic children and adults. Autism also puts great strain on family and home lives.

Although vaccines are supposed to prevent disease, people think there is a chemical in them which causes autism, but this theory is false! The cause of autism has not yet been fully determined, but it is not caused by vaccines; it is usually ca...

The exact cause of autism is unknown. There have been many theories that have been proposed, but none have been proven. One theory is that autism is caused by an overload of vaccines given to an infant at the same time or when the infant was slightly sick. This theory has been disproven, but people still blame vaccines. Another popular theory is that autism is caused by the inability to process gluten. This theory is more believe because many individuals with autism do suffer from gastrointes...
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is an unfortunate disorder that can severely damage lives. It can cause people to need daily assistance with all their activities throughout their whole lives. Autism affects a countless number amount of people, and those people need our help to find a cure for autism. We can help them find the cure for autism by simply donating to foundations such as Autism Society. If we were diagnosed with autism we would all want people to donate to the cause and support it in order to be normally healthy like others; the disorder is very insidious.
As it is known, there is no known cure for autism, however, that does not mean it can not be treated. The treatments for autism also vary given that autism does affect people differently. That makes it difficult to find the right treatments and therapies for each person. Also, even though a person’s autism is being treated it will only help bring down the
Autism, or a disorder of social and functional challenges (‘Facts about ASD’), affects about 1 in every 68 children in the world today (‘Facts about ASD’). More than 3.5 million Americans have some form of the disorder, although autism only takes up 1 percent of the world (‘Facts and Statistics’). The cause of autism has not yet appeared to scientists, but they have developed different ways of living for the mother to do before she gets pregnant, after she gets pregnant and after the baby’s birth to prevent autism arising in a child (‘Can Autism Be Prevented?’). Autism robs children and adults of the rights they have to walk, talk, and think like normal humans do every single day. My personal experience with autism showed me what the condition
Autism has been misjudged for many years and some people have gone without treatment and were locked up in mental hospitals for the rest of their lives due to the ignorance of the public... The main problem is that there has not been any productive treatment available to help them in the past. The typical case of autism can be frightening to those who are not educated in the characteristics on how one can be affected by autism and its symptoms. It would be easy to be intimidated and overwhelmed by the reactions of people that have autism. There are several ways to diagnose autism, however it is in many cases not being recognized, and especially in children who have debilitating handicaps such as schizophrenia. There are also the children that may seem very normal and may only have a few symptoms, such as rocking or not being able to
Autism is most common and most missed diagnosed disease. Autism is considered as a spectrum because each person have their own personal trait and characteristic. “Diagnosing autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be difficult, since there is no medical test, like blood test, to diagnose the disorders. They look at the child’s behavior to make a diagnosis” (www.cdc.gov). Some parents are in denial with this disease and will not get the early intervention that could help. We need to educate as much as possible about autism. Autism is a lifelong condition and with early detection, intervention and therapy. This can help to increase skills and abilities to help children grow and reduce the symptoms cause by this
