Physical, Emotional and Social Bullying

When you think of bullying, what do you think of? A lot of people think of a kid thrown against a locker, or people like me think of a girl told she wasn’t as strong or pretty as someone else. This is a subject we hear about a lot but it is extremely important and needs to be stopped. There are many types of bullying and sadly, we will only be able to go over them briefly. Commonly used and hurtful types of bullying are, physical, emotional, and social; there are many ways to solve this.
Mostly bullying comes in the three forms. I’ve been bullied, and I’m sure that that kid over there has been bullied to. It is everywhere, and it really ought to stop. Parents and teachers usually worry about physical bullying, where someone is punched or hit. I consider intimidations and threats to be a physical type but that is more of a matter of opinion and you can think otherwise if you wish. Social bullying can be indirect and is aimed at the mind and not the body. If I told you that someone looked prettier than you so you couldn’t hang out with me, I would be considered a social bully. Cyber and social bullying can be used together over the internet. Facebook and other networking sites are a common place for this to happen. Threats and taunts are usually what transpire between a cyber-bully and a victim. Seemingly innocent comments in between friends can be a cause for distress in the receiver’s mind. Be open to noticing any signs of bullying so that you can see why it needs to stop.
Likely people won’t have lifelong problems because of bullying, but it can happen. When I was bullied I was threatened, I was told thing’s like “I’m gunna kill you.” Since that happened I will not be able to speak to this person like normal people talk to each other. Luckily that stopped pretty quick after it started thanks to the help of my mom, but if it hadn’t of stopped when it did I have been a lot less well of. You would be surprised at how much a bully can lower someone’s self-esteem. If you had been harassed and ignored at school, or even at home, would you want to keep on going? Many kids can and will go through the bullying experience, but very few will go as far as suicide, but this needs to stop altogether.
