Throughout the recent years, Photoshop has become a widespread phenomenon amongst the world. With the rapidly developing inventions of camera’s and devices with cameras on them; posting pictures on social media has become extremely popular. Along with that, the pressure to appear perfect in said pictures has increased dramatically. Society has become exceedingly focused on the idea of perfect, and what perfect looks like. Especially now, with growing photo sharing phone applications such as Instagram, photo editing is becoming even more popular. Photoshop has proven to have many beneficial uses; however, it also has very negative consequences such as false perceptions, and misleading people.
Firstly, in 1987, Thomas and John Knowll created Photoshop (“Adobe Photoshop”). After discovering that his laptop was unable to show grayscale images, Thomas Knowll started working to find a solution (History of Photoshop: Journey from Photoshop 1.0 to Photoshop CS5). John and Thomas's original creation was named "Display" as it was a full image editing program, however it later developed into what was called "Image-Pro" and finally into “Photoshop” (History of Photoshop: Journey from Photoshop 1.0 to Photoshop CS5). The Knowll brothers were originally turned down by numerous companies after presenting their idea of Photoshop (History of Photoshop: Journey from Photoshop 1.0 to Photoshop CS5). Finally in 1990 after selling the rights of Photoshop to Adobe; the first version of Photoshop 1.0 was released (History of Photoshop: Journey from Photoshop 1.0 to Photoshop CS5). Ever since the establishment of Photoshop, it has become a widely spread used tool in many job fields such as architecture and advertising (“Adobe Photoshop”). Photoshop cr...

Forensic Science, recognized as Forensics, is the solicitation of science to law to understand evidences for crime investigation. Forensic scientists are investigators that collect evidences at the crime scene and analyse it uses technology to reveal scientific evidence in a range of fields. Physical evidence are included things that can be seen, whether with the naked eye or through the use of magnification or other analytical tools. Some of this evidence is categorized as impression evidence2.In this report I’ll determine the areas of forensic science that are relevant to particular investigation and setting out in what method the forensic science procedures I have recognized that would be useful for the particular crime scene.
In today 's society, people have a very skewed perception of beauty. People are exposed to so many advertisements and pictures that are photo-shopped each day that many do not even realize what they are looking at. They are seeing an image of something that is not real; something that is not even possible to obtain. Photoshop has an outrageously negative effect on men and women in society, creating an unattainable image of perfection.
The relationship between photography and criminality is known as the Forensic photography which involves documenting both suspected and convicted criminals, and also the victims, crime scenes, and other evidence needed to make a conviction. Even though photography was known as the most accurate way of documenting, it did not become accepted as a forensic means of identification until the 19th century. It resulted from the development of criminal justice systems and the power of photographic realism. During the 19th centaury, these two developments were significant to both forensic photography and police work in general.
