Health Dimension
When observing my goals I noticed how two out of the six dimensions of health where incorporated in both goals. Each goal had one dimension, Psychological and Physical, without out even deliberating about it. My goal one was time manage/stress, which was a Psychological health dimension, and goal two sleeping more hours which was Physical.
Emotional wellness another word for Psychological wellness, implies to the ability to be aware of and accept our feelings, coping with stress in a healthy way, and enjoy life despite its occasional disappointments and frustrations. My path to emotion wellness involved learning to be more aware of my thoughts and feelings. Understanding my body along with my mind when I was over worked and also over stressed, learning time management skills, and maintaining a life balance of both my academics and my social life.
Physical wellness doesn’t only involve aspects of life that are necessary to keep yourself in top condition, but it is also concerned with developing personal responsibility for your own health care. Working out, together with eating well isn’t all you need to do to achieve physical wellness. You must also sleep the recommend hours of sleep and receive regular check ups for you Physician. The physical benefits of looking good and feeling great often lead to psychological benefits of enhanced self-esteem, self-control, determination, and sense of direction.
I personally choose these goals, because before this class I would of thought I was just fine. After seeing how these two issues have affected my life, made me see I really needed a change and quick. It was unhealthily stressing, procrastinating and not sleeping at all. Both of my S.M.A.R.T (Specific, Measurable, A...

...r my personal health. Sticking to a schedule isn’t easy at all, because there are sometimes things that occur that you don’t have control over. It’s the end result of the change that just does it for you. Improving you stress level isn’t something that you can just fix with a schedule trust me I’ve learn that. It has many more factors to it, it isn’t just time management there stress at work, home, and just how you feel about yourself. You have to remember just to breathe and take things one-step at a time, and I have to say that was the most challenging part for me.
Conclusion
I have learned a great deal in this course, and about my self. Just from writing this paper I can see the difference in how I think, and how I have change just in a semester. I will continue to progress in these two goals and use the S.M.A.R.T goal step up for future goals and improvements.
Being healthy is one of the most important Be Your Best Self aspects because it encompasses so much of our day-to-day lives. To be described as healthy, I not only have to be physically fit, but also mentally, socially, and financially fit. Being healthy has many benefits. Exercise allows a person to be a happier, calm, energized, and confident individual. The same can be said for exercising the brain, socializing, and keeping finances in order. By being healthy I will feel better every day and find fierce determination and discipline in the process.
In regards to the course, I believe I have experienced the greatest improvement in my willfulness to write. It is not a dreadful task anymore, and instead, a way to expressing my feelings and thoughts. This has helped my performance in all classes since it is now easy to explain my logic through my writing. Nevertheless, writing will always be a learning process. As I continue to learn more challenging and thought-provoking material, it has become just as difficult to defend my viewpoints in the most attentive way possible. However, I have made it a priority to continue working on expressing myself and thoughts through writing.
Wellness is imperative to a healthy life. Sometimes, people do not really consider what makes up wellness, they simply think of it as being “well”. Wellness may be a state of being “well”, however, it incorporates different areas such as nutrition, health, safety, nurturing, and emotional stability. People must be healthy in all of these areas in order to achieve wellness. This is not an easy task for an adult, but definitely not for children.
The dimensions of health make-up and create an image of our overall health. This paper will refer to the dimensions of health in relation to myself, and what health change within one dimension would be beneficial to my health as a whole. Health, as defined by the World Health Organization (2014), is a state of total physical, mental and social well-being, not just when disease, illness or injury are absent (p. 1). My definition of health focuses on feeling well enough to perform everyday tasks and to perform these tasks to the best of my ability.

My emotional wellness I cope with things that are around me. I usually do not communicate about my feelings. Also I really do not talk about my situations because I feel that my personal situations are not worth being shared to others only because I do not trust people easily. I agree on the author's interpretation of my wellness worksheet.
My experience with goal making has always been a rough affair. The goals were not a source of motivation or inspiration for me. Instead the goals were a one-time action and were never to be found again once written down. It is not that I did not want to succeed in my goals or get the satisfaction of completing my goals, it is simply that my goals did not fit my specific needs and were not easy to follow. It is only now that I realize my goals were far from specific and measurable, realistic and challenging, and within a timeframe. Within this framework for goals my goals can become more inspirational to me and become a part of my life rather than a passing event in my life.
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
Creating and achieving goals are some important things that people want to do in their lives and learn to accomplish or achieve them. The goals can be small, big, long, short, simple, complicated, hard, objective, career, life, educational, professional and it can be for anything such as health, job, work, you, the people that are around you, friends, family, the world, history, culture and advocacy. In order to accomplish or achieve these goals, you need to have a lot of time, effort, proficiency, patience and perseverance. Goals are the ones to be proud of because we are accomplishing them every day you just do not realize it.
I believe that physical activity will improve one's health in two aspects – the physical state of one's body, and the mental health of the individual, both of which are crucial in maintaining the well-being of a person, and taps onto other domains mentioned in the Healthy Lifestyle Index Report (such as BMI, sleep, stress and depression).
