The phrase “Philosophy of Life” can be defined as a person's personal beliefs, attitudes, and values. In comparison to one’s core values, a person’s philosophy of life is often what drives their behavior. A philosophy of life can change throughout a person’s life depending on the situations that may or may not be thrown in the direction of that person and how they decide to handle it. Like core values, which are a consistent part of a persons philosophy of life, in my opinion, a percentage of these traits are instilled in you for the entirety of your life as opposed to others that may change. But, like all people and all parts of life, this varies. I say this because people will only change when they are open to change and willing to change.
One major factor usually stems from your childhood. Many people take on similar values, attitudes and behaviors as those in their family. There are also people who take on values from both their family and their life situations. Then there are people who obtain their values, beliefs, and behaviors from their friends and the entities that surround them. All in all one of the first contributing factors to a persons philosophy of life comes from those who are consistent players in their lives. Other things may be applicable depending on a persons exposure. Activities such as church, dance, soccer, choir, any activity really can help frame a persons perspective. It can also help a person observe the world in a social setting and decipher the role they want to play in this life. Education and economic status may also play a role in a person’s philosophy of life by encapsulating them and exposing them to a consistent
