Life is a mixture of experiences, culture, tradition, sexuality, politics and much more. Experiences make us the person who we are today. Describing how an individual handles certain stages in life. These experiences demonstrates how a person behaves, and determines their attitude. In my life I have experienced many things that have affected me in all aspects of myself. How I interact with people, what my actions are, my preferences, and all about me. With my experiences that I have faced I learned many things but one thing that stands out is that everyone should have morals of compassion, kindness, and respect the value of life. This is a very diminutive world and we can take to perspective to be considerate with our actions and say. We should bring to thought the idea that within every action or speech it has an effect to something or someone. C. Write Mills the author of the text “The Sociological Imagination”(1959) he discusses that we all have a cause in this world and we are connected to everyone and everything. If we would like to change the standards of something it is capable. Mills connects the notion of how people feel when confronted with something they think they cannot handle, but everyone is capable of doing. He states; “Is it any wonder that ordinary men feel they can cope with the larger worlds with which they are so suddenly confronted.” Mills is describing that sometimes men feel as if they cannot change something that is in a larger social problem (War, Animal Cruelty, Child Hunger ,etc…) But this question is raised for us to go out of the thinking routine and discover the answer that we can fulfil anything we want with one simple thing to take action. Because we are part of this s... ... middle of paper ... ...ffected by us. When there is something that you do not enjoy you have the power to shift it if you want. We all behold that power because we are part of the system. We are the system. Works Cited Work Cited Page - "Bulying Statistics." Bulying Statistics. N.p., n.d. Millions of animals are consumed everyday; humans are creating a mass animal holocaust, but is this animal holocaust changing the climate? In the essay “ The Carnivores Dilemma,” written by Nicolette Hahn Niman, a lawyer and livestock rancher, asserts that food production, most importantly beef production, is a global contributor to climate change. Nicolette Niman has reports by United Nations and the University of Chicago and the reports “condemn meat-eating,” and the reports also say that beef production is closely related to global warming. Niman highlights, carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxides are the leading greenhouses gases involved in increasing global warming. A vast majority of people across the world consumes meat and very little people are vegetarian, or the people that don’t eat meat, but are there connections between people and meat production industry when it comes to eating food and the effect it has on the climate? The greenhouse gases, methane, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxides are not only to blame, but we should be looking at people and industrialized farming for the leading cause of greenhouse gases in agriculture and the arm-twisting dilemma we have been lured into, which is meat production itself.
‘Sociological Imagination' as explained by C. Wright Mills is an individual's ability to recognize the connection between the course of their own lives and the role that historical and societal changes play in the personal decisions they make (Mills, 1959). Unaware of the effect of this connection on the kind of people they are becoming, they are unable to solve personal troubles as they look for solutions within themselves as a biographical entity (Mills, 1959). They fail to identify the structural transformation that is responsible for their private troubles. Dilemmas that individuals face within themselves or amongst direct relations with others are known as personal troubles (Mills, 1959). In contrast, public issues, are troubles that

During military service, I experienced domestic violence for a minimum of nine years while being married to another military service member. In January of 1988 during military service and marriage, I also gave birth to my second son, who died three day after being born. Although many people may find themselves in complicated situations, I never thought that I would be one of those individuals. During this period of fear, pain, and sadness, I dealt with the situation the best I knew how, because I had military responsibilities, parent responsibilities to my first born son who was six years old at the time, and while still trying to keep my family together. I quickly found other means of managing my experience with both situations by convincing
The concept of standing up for myself had been something I’d put off many years after becoming a bully victim, but it wasn’t until the death of my friend Samuel that the reality of the issue arose.
Lessons can be learned from the littlest of experiences. Important life lessons can be taken from not only success, but also our greatest failures. Adversity can greatly alter our perspective and provide an individual with wisdom. The first time I was faced with adversity was when I broke my tibia and fibula. I was involved in sports and this was definitely a setback, to say the least. Moments after the accident, I realized that the months of recovery I would have to toil. I realized these future and upcoming months would require patience and I would undergo great amounts of drudgery.
In the mid 1940’s bullying still occurred it just was not involved in media as it is now. I have been a victim of bullying since middle school. I have not lived in Ocala my entire life. I began my life in Medford, Long Island before moving to Ocala, Florida where I began sixth grade. Everyone at my middle school had grown up together. I believe that going into middle school, where friendships, and social groups had already began, had contributed to my bullying. The classes were small at my middle school, about fifth-teen to a class. This limited my ability to meet peers and make new friends, which lead to a social seclusion that left me exposed to bullying. Being bullied was terrible. I knew it as a child, I know it as and young adult, it absolutely was terrible.
