Personal Development

Many people work very hard in their life but they do not seem to be able to achieve something worthwhile (Personal Goal Setting, 2013). Successful people on the other hand, know what they want and create plans to help them achieve these goals. They will establish a step by step plan, and will continue to follow that plan until their goal is achieved. These people tend to be proactive rather than be reactive. Personal planning is really important because it helps you not only to achieve your goals but to tell you how you can achieve them. Without a personal plan, it will be hard to attain any objectives you want to complete. Whether it is a short-term goal or a long-term goal, there must be a strategy on how to reach it.
Having goals at school, at the workplace or in your personal life is crucial if you want to become a better person. Students who do not have goals at school for example may tend to score lower grades than those who have a study plan during exams. The student who does not have a study plan will not know how and when to study, and what kind of grades should he strive for compared to the other student who knows what he wants to achieve. His study plan may be to study two subjects every day for 2 hours compared to the other one that does not know when to study for each subject.
Apart from school, another example for setting goals and building plans will be personal finances. Sometimes people may spend more than they earn and always find themselves spending more than they should be. In order to manage your personal finances, a weekly or monthly budget will be required to set a limit on how much you should spend. You need to know where your money is going if you are going to handle your own finances (Vohwinkle, 2013)...

...Goal Setting, 2013). Personal planning is a must if you want to become a successful person. You must have a goal first then the plan to achieve the goal you want will follow, it is the goal that counts. Setting goals will decide where you want to go in your life. In my two examples, making a plan and following that plan really helps you to achieve what you want. The more and more goals you achieve, the more confidence you will build in yourself and will achieve more difficult things.
