Osama bin Laden’s hatred towards the United States drove him to do horrifying and unreasonable things. This is one example of why I believe mankind in inherently evil.
“The human world, it’s a mess..” (Sebastian) This quote said by Sebastian the crab from the movie The Little Mermaid. And the reason I chose to open up this essay with it is because it’s true. The human world is corrupted and full of sin, lust, pride, selfishness, hatred, jealousy, arrogance, rudeness, and so many other evil things.
There are many people I can use as an example to support my argument. But Osama bin Laden stood out to me the most. Not only did he kill thousands of people, he planned the whole entire thing out, to every detail. He also didn’t feel remorse for his horrifying deed. And I find that the most sickest, twisted thing a person could do.
Osama bin Laden was raised as a religiously committed Moslem.(A Bibliography of Osama bin Laden.) In 1982, he entered the inside of Afghanistan. This was the first trip of many. While in Afghanistan he established a guesthouse in Peshawar. Supposedly this house was originally planned to be the first station for the soldiers, Arab Mujahedeen, to come before they left for training.
By the next visit Osama made he decided to build his own camps. For his own purposes. Mainly training his men to attack when he felt was necessary. In two years, he had over six camps up and running. Inside these camps he trained Arab fighters along with well-experienced senior ex-military men from Syria and Europe. (A Bibliography of Osama bin Laden.)
The thing with evil is that it’s not something that just happens. It gradually grows over time. Evil is smart, manipulative, precise. Osama was said to be strikingly current, extremel...

...w a person single handedly planned on killing so many people, and walked away like it was nothing. Yes he might be dead, but that doesn’t heal all the wounds and scars nor will it make everything okay. To me this is the evilest thing anyone or anything can commit. Because not only did it have such an impact to people in 2001, but it will always be a constant reminder how evil and corrupted the world is. How one tradgedy can impact the world back then, and continue to affect it in the future.

Osama bin Laden was an adversary of the West for years and it was known to the whole world. Unfortunately, he took it a little further by having two planes fly into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon and another plane possibly for the White House. As we all know, this is the unforgettable day of September 11, 2001. Thousands of Americans were innocently murdered that day and in our own country by a terrorist organization. The United States of America would not stand for this and rapidly sought out Osama Bin Laden for what he had done to us. This is the day that caused the United States to accelerate the search and destruction efforts of bin Laden. Soon after September 11th, the United States was very involved in Afghanistan in trying to find him.
September 11, 2001 is known as the worst terrorist attack in United States history. On a clear Tuesday morning, there were four planes that were hijacked and flown into multiple buildings by a terrorist group named al Qaeda. This group, led by Osama bin Laden, killed nearly 3,000 people. Out of those 3,000 people more than 400 police and 343 firefighters were killed along with 10,000 people who were treated for severe injuries. Many lives were taken, and to this day, people still suffer from the attack. September 11th is the most influential event of the early twenty-first century because it made an increase in patriotism, it caused a rise in security throughout the nation, and it had a tremendous effect of thousands of lives.
The most infamous leader of the Al Qaeda is Osama bin Laden of Saudi Arabia. Osama Bin Laden did not derive his theories, practices, or views because he was educated or raised through the teachings of Islamic seminaries, though his principal inspiration appears to be based upon far-reaching religious sentiment. His higher education was actually the study of engineering at a prominent university in Saudi Arabia (Schweitzer and Shay, 2003). Sheikh Abdullah Azzam, a Palestinian, was a highly regarded mentor and the primary source of persuasion for Bin Laden’s ideology and fundamental vision. Azzam was the main architect behind jihad views and is credited as the founder of Al Qaeda. Osama Bin Laden also shaped his outlook from the works and actions of zealous Islamic philosophers from all over the middle-eastern region of the world that opposed Soviet occupation (...

His family upbringing and financial status helped shape the early years of Osama bin Laden. Osama bin Laden was born on March 10, 1957 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He was the 17th son of Mohammed bin Laden out of about 50 children (Coll 84). Mohammed bin Laden was a wealthy man who owned a construction company known as bin Laden Construction Company. Not only did he obtain his wealth from this, but also from his massive support of the Saudi Government. In 1967, when Osama was 13, his father passed away in a plane crash. When this occurred, Osama wanted to take charge and start making a life of his own (Coll 85). Growing up, Osama enjoyed being on his own because he accepted the fact that he was not very close with his family. In times of need, bin Laden turned to Allah for support when his family gave him none (Anonymous 82). Between the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, Osama attended Jedda’s King Abdulaziz University which foc...
Certain revolutions in Afghanistan occurred between 1978 and 2001 which caused the US War with Afghanistan. The United States helped Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Israel by giving them military weapons and, as a result, the Soviet Union viewed this as if the United States was trying to have power over the Middle East. After the collapse of the Soviet regime in Afghanistan, Afghan socialists fought over power, which led to the creation of Taliban by Mullah Omar, a religious preacher who taught in Pakistan. During Mullah Omar’s time, Osama Bin-Laden came to Afghanistan and he ...
One of the most infamous dates in American history, September 11, 2001 is also one of the darkest and controversial dates. September 11, 2001 or 9/11 is remembered as a tragic terrorist attack by al-Qaeda, a Muslim extremist group, primarily on the World Trade Towers. Directed by al-Qaeda, 19 hijackers took over four passenger planes, American Airlines- Flight 11 and Flight 77, and United Airlines- Flight 175 and Flight 93. These hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center Towers, the Pentagon and Somerset County, Pennsylvania. With devastating impacts, the U.S was scarred. From the 9/11 building attacks alone, 2,753 people died and in total, close to 6,000 deaths (CNN Library). As demoralizing these reports are, what is more shocking is that 911 was part of a vast conspiracy and mass criminal cover-up by the U.S. government.
On September 11, 2001 the world stopped for a moment as two planes flew into the white house. The Pentagon was also hit that day, and a hero saved a plane that was supposed to hit the White House. Americans all over the country were in shock, some knew their loved ones were in the Twin Towers, and hoped that some could make it out alive. Some did, many didn’t, so many precious lives were taken away from innocent humans who thought it was just going to be a normal day at the office. Children are growing up without fathers and mothers, who they will never meet. Whoever did this, needs to be put away, or killed. The man who planned it, Osama Bin Laden was killed on May 2, 2011, 10 years after the terror attacks on the World Trade center that killed many Americans, innocent Americans. Osama bin Laden’s killing was just, and he deserved what he got, there is no doubt in my mind he got what he deserved.
Above all, Osama Bin Laden was a man that left many devastated yet wanted to make a statement. Many say that violence does not solve anything, but Osama though otherwise because he believed that they only way to get what you want, something that forces it has to be done. On the other hand, the connections between people can influence not only then but everyone else because they are the ones that do not have a deal. All the things that happened in history involving Osama was controversial and immense. One stated that if something was controversial, it was important. The importance of all these events was that America learned what to do in the future. It was what America was able to do in the most traumatizing situations.
Bin Laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia either in 1957 or in 1958 (Davis 1). He was the 17th of 52 children born to Mohammed Bin Laden, a Yemeni Immigrant who worked with the Bush Family and owns the largest construction company in the Saudi Kingdom ( Davis 1). He was really blessed growing up as he and his sibling have a mass fortune and a luxurious life. All of his siblings were educated in the west and went to work for his father. Bin Laden stayed close to home. He went to school in Jeddah and was a really successful student. Like typical Saudi Arabian men, he married young and joined the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood. Islam was more than just a religion; it shaped his political beliefs and influenced every decision he

...d his followers. It took the CIA years to discover the name of the leader, much less his location. Osama Bin Laden is the man behind the horrific events of 9/11. There was speculation that Bin Laden was living in one of the remote tribal areas of Pakistan or even across the border in Afghanistan. He was found in an affluent suburb of Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. In pursuit of Bin Laden, the CIA chased various leads about his inner circle, in particular his couriers. One of these couriers stood out to investigators because he was said to be a protege of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the 9/11 mastermind, and one of the few people Bin Laden trusted. Investigators were able to narrow down Bin Laden’s location with the help of this young man, who is unnamed. The suspected residence occupying Bin Laden was no normal residence, the wall of the 3,000 square feet compound were
Humans commit many acts of evil towards each other. Some well-known examples are Hitler killing the Jews during the Holocaust, spouse abusers, and infamous serial killers, like John Wayne Gacy and Ted Bundy. Another example is Satan worshippers in Russia stabbing four teenagers 666 times and then proceeded to eat them (Haywood 1). Another example is a woman and her boyfriend beating her 1-year-old son with belts...
Al Qaeda is an international terrorist organization that was founded by Osama bin Laden in the late 1980s in Peshawar, Pakistan. The name is Arabic for “The Base of Operation” or “method” (Burke 2004). However, many experts agree that al-Qaeda is more dangerous as an ideology than as an organization. As an organization, it has been weakened by fragmentation, arrests, and deaths of the top leaders. This has caused the structure of the organization to be destroyed, resulting in the lack of a central hub for the militant group. One thing that remains is the ideology, which is fueled mainly by a hatred of Western, Zionist, and Semitic cultures and beliefs (Burke 2004). As a result, many people may not be directly part of the al Qaeda network or even directly linked to bin Laden. Due to their common views and beliefs of Western culture, militant groups loosely associated to al Qaeda have been formed, carrying on the original objectives that bin Laden had in mind when he created this organization.
