Online learning can help students learn better Throughout the development of education, online learning is becoming more and more popular. Some students think it is good for them since they can get the latest news on the Internet. On the other hand, some students prefer to use their computer to play games rather than study. Educators debate whether implementing online learning might improve students’ academic performance. Online education is rapidly increasing and becoming as a feasible alternative for traditional learning. According to a study in 2008, which conducted by the U.S Department of Education, back in 2006-2007 academic year, about 66% of postsecondary public and private schools began participating in student financial aid programs offered some distance learning courses, record shows only 77% of enrollment in for-credit courses being for those with an online component (Agarwal, 2013). In 2008, the Council of Europe passed a statement endorsing e-learning's potential to drive equality and education improvements across the EU (The Standing Committee, 2008). There is strong evidence that implementing online learning can help students learn better than traditional learning since it can increase learners’ responsibility, select learning materials according to their skills and learn the updated materials. The first reason to support online learning is that learners may select learning materials which meet their level of knowledge and interest. Self-paced learning modules allow learners to work at their own pace, which can offer a chance for learners to learn according to their ability and progress. In a busy world online education allows students to further their education to obtain more options. Online education allows students to have a job and obtain credits toward a degree. With concerns about the absence of teachers, technology assures students they can continue learning with teachers more accessible to the student. Attending college on the go is a common choice today with access to technology everywhere they go. Online education allows students to compete for higher pay jobs when graduated. This will maximize a higher educated population and this is necessary to keep America
There is little doubt that a more extensive on-line education system would benefit extremely overcrowded campuses like Cal State Northridge. Although short-term costs may deter colleges from implementing distance learning programs initially, many colleges could save money in the long run. With the technology available, universities should make more efforts to offer more on-line classes. Distance learning is becoming more and more prevalent across campuses and is likely to continue to grow. In this paper, I will address recent criticism of the distance learning process and present material in support of this increasing phenomenon.
Online Learning Students that study online learn by themselves in their own way. They have to complete the assignments and research on their own, forcing them to learn online. Learning may not be as satisfying as face-to-face learning but it has many pros than disadvantages. Online learning is better because you can have a better environment, it is also flexible, and the cost is less. One point in favor is that online education can offer us a good habitat to remain studying and upgrade our study.
Education plays a significant role in every one’s future and lives; therefore parents have to ensure that their kids receive proper education.There has always been controversy over which is better: online or traditional classes. While some of the differences between traditional school and online school are the academics, socialization, and structure, the similarities are still evident.
Online education, while offering clear advantages such as supporting a self-paced learning experience by allowing learning on an on-demand basis rather than a strict class schedule, also has significant drawbacks. Students in an online only course may struggle with structure and content without hands-on instruction, which can help motivate students who otherwise may be distracted or have difficulty working independently. The traditional structure of classroom education is effective, but also comes with a set of obstacles, particularly for nontraditional students. The best way to bridge this gap is hybrid education, which combines technology and personal interaction to support efficiency and self-paced learning while keeping students motivated, social, and connected to their professors and their peers through face to face interactions. While this newer learning model is still under investigation, there is evidence to prove that hybrid courses can lead to academic success.

There is good reason for the growth in online learning in college environments. Student populations have diversified since the introduction of the personal computer and internet (O’Malley and McCraw). Students with geographic, job, or other constraints are now able to benefit from a college education because advances in technology have enabled learning for those for whom higher education was previously not within the realm of possibility.
Online education is a booming trend in the education world. It is something different than the traditional classroom. It is allowing student around the world the opportunity to get an education. Online education allows student to have a more proficient and cheaper way of learning. Having multiple ways to give a student an education allows all learning types to find their own way of learning. Education changes lives but it can be difficult for students to get to a classroom to sit through an hour class 4 times a week, this can be for many different reasons. There are many doubts about online education, but this a new world without borders it is a new opportunity for people from all over the world to get an education.
Furthermore, some may suggest that online learning is benefiting our students in society. There has been a breakthrough in time and geographical limitations of education via online courses (Ho, 2009). Online education is cost-effective, efficient, and easily accessible (Schmeeckle, 2003). Online classes are used for individual and independent learning in which the student can learn at their own pace (Gonzalez, 2009). Not only is online education beneficial for breaking down barriers, online education has the potential to help students learn material more efficiently. Students are more likely to seek help from their instructors when the material is taught online (Whipp & Lorentz, 2009). Computer use in statistical classes could help decrease math anxiety (Gundy, Morton, Liu, & Kline, 2006). In a study that measured online students’ ability to achieve the same efficiency of course material as face-to-face students, at least 98% of students reported that they had, so one may be lead to believe that online learning is just as efficient as face-to-face courses (Liebowitz, 2003). Today’s generation is like no other. The nation as a whole has completely evolved from past times, with technology being one of the greatest improvements.
