“The One Minute Manager” describes how people produce valuable results, and feel good about themselves, the organization and the other people with whom they work. The book one minute manager is all about managing skills of a person who may be a manager or a customer or a job worker. According to the young man who searches for a perfect manager, of all the managers he met, everyone fell into either of the 2 categories that is either an autocrat or a democrat. An autocrat concerns about his customers welfare even though his company tastes or experiences bad results. A democrat only concerns about his company and its results even though his customers suffer from bad results “Precisely,” said the manager.
“In order to be a good manager in most organizations, we have to catch some of your people doing things wrong. We have to have a few winners, a few losers, and everyone else somewhere in the middle. Intially the young man goes to an experienced manager and knows about one minute manager but he did not believe that one minute manager is possible. But after some time after meeting the managers the young man got convinced and started believing both one minute manager and also one minute management.

The First Secret of one minute manager is one minute goal setting and it mainly defines the good behavior, and setting up goals for doing the task and writing it on a paper less than 250 words. And so it would be easy to to read and check the progress of work and the task should be compared with the performance and behavior of people.

... Reaffirm that you think well of them but not of their performance in this situation. Realize that when the reprimand is over, it’s over. The young man may not have believed in the effectiveness of the One Minute
Reprimand if he hadn’t personally experienced its effect. There was no doubt that he felt uncomfortable. And he did not want to experience it again.
However, he knew that everyone made mistakes now and then, and that he might very well receive another reprimand some day. But he knew if it came from the One Minute
Manager, that it would be fair; that it would be a comment on his behavior and not on his worth as a person.
As he headed toward the One Minute Manager’s office, he kept thinking about the simplicity of One Minute Management.
Therefore all three of the secrets made sense One Minute Goals, One Minute Praisings, and One Minute Reprimands.
