Nutrition & Network Marketing
Choosing a career never came easy for me, however, because of a long time illness with Fibromyalgia, a career with Nutrition and Network Marketing found me. Fibromyalgia is an autoimmune disease that affects the nerve endings in different parts of the body. Some of the symptoms are chronic fatigue and pain. For the most part, I just wanted to get my day over with, come home, and go to bed. I was not enjoying what most people consider a good quality of life. A very dear friend of mine offered to share this bottle of juice that actually looked like a bottle of wine. The juice is MonaVie. It has 19 blends of fruits from all around the world. The fruits work most synergistically with the human body. My energy levels elevated and my pain was subsiding. I wanted to live again. For example, I wanted to ride my bike and stay up to watch late movies. My neighbors, friends, and loved ones all noticed a huge difference in me. People in general were asking me what I was doing different, and of course I was more than glad to share the good news. I now enjoy sharing a quote by Hippocrates, “Let Thy Food Be Thy Medicine and Thy Medicine Be Thy Food.”
The evolution of network marketing actually started in 1903 with a company called Watkins Corporation. This company allowed consumers to purchase products at a wholesale price and sell at retail. It also allowed individuals to recruit others into their business to do the same (The Evolution of Network Marketing). This technique is multi-level marketing where two becomes four and four becomes eight and so on and so on. It is a business where the recruiter cannot become successful unless he helps the recruited succeed. The industry was slow between the yea...

The pool of opportunity has grown smaller from what it once was, and it seems that opportunity parallels the wealth in capitalist America—a small number of individuals are successful in their endeavors, and the rest must settle for less with disappointment and disillusionment. While hard work and perseverance may push individuals to new heights, the power of optimism and positive thinking can only take a person so far. The great American dream and frontier is only available to those with certain circumstances, and those circumstances are becoming less available to the new generation coming into the

The year is 1946, WWII is over and America was the only nation who’s manufacturing industry was left unscathed. Because of this, along with the worker protections of FDR’s New Deal led to a golden age for the American middle class. At this time nearly anyone can find a decent job, no matter your education, class or experience and live a decent life. This golden age will continue, till 1980 when the 1st Great Recession kicked in (McCleland 550). The combination of other nations rebuilt manufacturing industries, a pattern of poor economic policy, the dismantling of unions, corrupt corporations, new technology, the need for higher education and discrimination will all play a role that lead to
In the late 1800's, American society began to burst with cultural activity. After the Civil War and the Reconstruction, Americans were eager to return to their normal lifestyles. The period that followed, however, was quite different from what the country was used to. During the war, many pushed hard for a rise in industry, leading to an explosive industrial revolution far beyond what people had expected. America's business and economy had boomed, and, as the new century approached, many had a new outlook on life. They were eager to escape the dull regiments of both the past Victorian era and the new urban lifestyle. This was easy for the upper and middle classes, both of which were growing due to the rapid increase in industry. It was great news for entrepreneurs and business people of the time, because there was money to be made in this desire for amusement. Of course, this was not the whole story of the new Gilded Age, but it was definitely an era of growing leisure time and the business that came along with it.

...ed throughout this paper that a career as either a pharmacist or physician would be perfect careers for me, due to the fact that they are equivalent with my interests, values and goals in life are. There is a lot of hard work involved in these professions, but my love for helping people would carry me through the stresses involved in the schooling and work required of a physician or pharmacist.

Based on a variety of personal experiences, I became very interested in the role of foods and nutrition. During my last year of highschool, my favorite who had a successful business succumbed to a strange alliment. He was tired all the time and was diagnosed to live only 1 year. While he didn't have cancer, his bloodwork had many abnormalites the doctors couldn't diagnose. He began to seek out other doctors who ultimately recommended that his see a dietitian. This changed his life. He started to eat low fat foods thats packed in vitamins, quit smoking and drinking and started to exercise regular bases. One year later, he could get out of bed, live as an full energetic person as he had before. This made him inspired to study nutrition in America. I was overwhelmed after I knew his history and never looked at food the same way again. It is clear to me now that how people eat and what people eat is an important factor in acheving optimum health, that just exercise isn't enough.
