Nokia Corporation (Nokia) is a big player in mobile industry. The Company makes a range of mobile devices with services and software that enable people to experience music, navigation, video, television, imaging, games, business mobility and more. Nokia also provides equipment, solutions and services for communications networks through Nokia Siemens Networks. Wireless wizard Nokia continues to cast a spell on the mobile phone market. The company is the world’s number one maker of cell phones, ahead of such rivals as Motorola and Samsung. Nokia is also aiming for the top of the mobile Internet market.

According to Nokia vision statement which is: “Connecting people…and Very Human Technology.” Nokia’s promise is to help people feel close to what is important to them. It is committed to connecting people to what matters to them by combining advanced mobile technology with personalized services (Nokia website, 2011).

We know that a vision statement is the inspiring words chosen by successful leaders to clearly and concisely convey the direction of the organization. By crafting a clear vision statement, they can powerfully communicate the intentions and motivate the team or organization to realize an attractive and inspiring common vision of the future. Vision Statement defines the organizations purpose and the long term road towards the future, but this time they do so in terms of the organization’s values rather than bottom line measures.
