New Theistic Natural Existentialism

Philosophy is an activity of thought and a study of wisdom. While not everyone may understand or comprehend philosophy, they do have their own philosophical perspective or view of the world. A “worldview” is a “commitment, a fundamental orientation of the heart, that can be expressed as a story or in a set of presuppositions that we hold about the basic constitution of reality, and that provides the foundation on which we live and move and have our own being” (Sire, 20). Worldviews consist of a prime reality, a nature of external reality, a definition of a human being, an explanation for what happens to humans when they die, an explanation for how it is possible to know anything, an explanation for how humans know right from wrong, and an explanation for the meaning of human history. Prime reality is what someone believes to be “really real” in the world, while external reality is the surrounding world.

There are a plethora of worldviews, many of which do not have a name. The “best” worldview depends upon what a person perceives for themselves to be “the best”. Although some people might find parts or aspects of other worldviews that they like. My own worldview is a combination between new age, traditional theism, naturalism, and theistic existentialism called new theistic natural existentialism. This world view can be continuously debated. Here, there will be evaluations of other worldviews. They will include objections, agreements, and interesting points. In evaluating the other worldviews, I have found my own objections for new theistic natural existentialism and counterarguments for my worldview.

The beginning of human knowledge was the recognition of God’s existence and then the study of nature, which reflected the work of God. God created the system that is the cosmos and is at the same time a part of it.

Conclusion

New theistic natural existentialism is a combination of other philosophies and is my perspective of the world. There will be people that agree with this world view and those that will disagree with it. Individually there are specific parts of my world view that people will like or find interesting. It is all a matter of perspective and everyone has their own world view, whether or not they made it into an official philosophy.
