The Campaign Manager
The job of a campaign manager is to coordinate a campaigns operations such as fundraising, advertising, poling, getting out the vote, and other activities supporting the effort. That is exactly my task in my career. I work as a campaign manager under candidate Hillary Clinton for the upcoming presidential election. Throughout the book Hardball, by Chris Matthews, Matthews lists many different maxims that can be used as helpful guidance during elections, campaigns, and the presidential period overall. I will strongly encourage my candidate to follow through with the maxim, “ Keep your enemies in front of you” and “Dance with the One That Brung Ya,” while encouraging her to ignore the maxim, “Only Talk When It Improves the Silence.”

There are clearly many maxims to keep in mind during Presidential elections but also many to ignore. As Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, I strongly encourage her to keep her enemies in close contact with herself so that she is aware of anything suspicious or anything that can help boost her reputation among the public. I also encourage Clinton to not only never forget, but never turn her back on those people who once supported and helped her get to where she is now. Lastly, I encourage my candidate to avoid silence as being a powerful tool in elections so that she can get her word out and be heard by those who will help her win and become the next President of America. It is my job to guide Hillary Clinton in becoming an outstanding candidate and being able to show America her reliability and commitment in order to run a strong and independent country.
