My passion for the fascinating wolrd of science literally can not be put into words. Since receiving my first home science kit at five years of age the way things work and why has always been at the forefront of my mind. During my early years I would find great delight in examining anything I could fit under the lens of my telescope. I will never forget my first look at the intricate detail of a human hair.
High School has helped me to refine this passion to the field of biological sciences with my particular interest being molecular genetics. My peers called my "crazy" for undertaking all three science subjects in my HSC course, but for me there really was no other choice. I have excelled in biology with a trial exam mark of 97%. Within the component of advanced molecular genetics of this course my mark of 100% reflects the love and passion I feel towards this subject, and I am extremely proud to be ranked number one in a very competitive class of sixteen. While biology has been my favourite subject I have also excelled in Physics and Chemistry ranking first and second in these subjects.

Independently I produced a twenty page document detailing current genetic research and therapies with my case study being the cystic fibrosis disease. When reading back over my report I was amazed at the advanced level of language and information I had managed to convey and felt extemely proud to receive a mark of one hundred percent. I put my high marks down to my childhood love of science which has grown over the years from reading every science book I could find and watching the Magic School Bus (education science cartoon) over and over to readliy completing independent research tasks in my own
I would continually ponder over questions on the mechanics of nature and human beings. Science has always been a main focus of mine. I distinctly remember when my parents bought our first computer when I was six years old. On the computer I would always be watching videos or reading on science topics. I would always be conducting my own science experiments. The reaction from mixing baking soda with vinegar to form a volcano would always amaze me as a child. Growing up I would continually and consistently add to my knowledge of science through the tough courses I would take in school. I am able to look back into the memories of my younger self and understand why baking soda and vinegar, when mixed, form an eruption. As far back as I can remember I had a strong affinity for science. I recall having an avid curiosity in biology and chemistry while I attended catholic school. Our congregation placed an emphasis on missionary work and social service, and growing up I felt very connected to that experience. Medicine as a profession was something I was exposed to early on as many of my family members are physicians. I became even more interested in medicine when as a teenager my dad became critically ill and I wanted desperately to know what was happening and what needed to be done to get him better.
Ever since I was a little girl in elementary school I have always had a passion for creating strong friendships with people. When doing this I always made sure that I included everyone in any plans that I may have had.. To this day I still have that passion and motivation to build and create strong friendships while always keeping in mind to include everyone. There have been many events in my life that have sparked an interest for this passion and how it has developed in me at such a young age. “Class,” I announced, “today I will teach you a simpler method to find the greatest common factor and the least common multiple of a set of numbers.” In fifth grade, my teacher asked if anyone had any other methods to find the greatest common factor of two numbers. I volunteered, and soon the entire class, and teacher, was using my method to solve problems. Teaching my class as a fifth grader inspired me to teach others how important math and science is. These days, I enjoy helping my friends with their math homework, knowing that I am helping them understand the concept and improve their grades.
I have always been inclined to help others and sometimes I wonder if this is something that is inborn in most humans. As a doctor, I understand the responsibility I have contracted with society. While dentistry is my permanent source of satisfaction, providing the best care to my patients has always provided me with an added satisfaction. Drilling and filling teeth is not what makes a dentist a true professional, but the satisfaction of knowing that we improve the quality of life of people through diagnosis, treatment and prevention of oral diseases. Dentist are very important to society; therefore, my passion for dentistry as a mean to serve our community despite of any obstacles I may find on my way to achieve this.

Chemistry is the most fascinating science to me. Chemistry applies to all things in the universe; living or non-living. Everything is made of elements which are made up of atoms of a certain atomic number. Thereafter I took AP Chemistry, I knew I had to choose a career in the field of chemistry. I understand and enjoy learning about chemistry. Chemistry is important, interesting, and ever expanding. Therefore, I must pursue a career in Chemistry.
Passion for Family, Community, Business, Technology and Intellectual growth are what motivate me on the daily basis. These are vital parts that have contributed to framing me into the person I’ve become. They have also shaped my short-term and long-term goals in life. Anybody that knows me knows that my passion and goals in life have to deal with fashion. If I could be anything in this world I would love to be a designer of some sort or at least be in the industry. When it comes to clothing and style it just comes easy one of the easiest things I’m good at. Fashion is an art form it allows you to express your view on style anyway you choose. And to me I feel like nobody has the right to judge that. Style hasn’t always come easy to be though just like everything else it takes time and practice it’s still a work in progress. When I look back to my middle school and early high school years I wonder deeply about my choices, middle school had to have been the worst. I was going through a colored jeans faze, I would wear bright yellow, honey mustard yellow, sky blue, purple, and pink. If somebody were to name a color I probably had jeans that color. It gets worse though because I would have the worst possible combination choice of shoes to go along with a matching bead necklace and bracelet set, followed by a grey or navy blue uniform shirt. It’s clear I had no idea what I was doing the best part is I was being myself and that’s all that matters. No matter how much I think my style has grown I’m only human and will look back and probably wonder why I wore the outfit I’m wearing sitting here writing this essay.
My opinion is that cooking is the best hobby to have, because it can be very useful in life. Cooking is my hobby and has been for several years. I was about five years old, when I started learning how to cook. Cooking is something that I inherited from my grandmother; my grandmother was a professional chef and owned her own restaurant, where I learned how to cook.
When speaking of the topic of who a person is and their past, a massive part of this includes their educational background. Isn’t this what forms people, their education? Of course, this doesn’t always have to refer to their organized education. Everything that a person learns is something that educates them; these words being synonymous. Even something like first learning to tie your shoes is a part of your education. Which method works better for you: loop, swoop, and pull, or bunny ears? I of course, like any other well educated person, use loop, swoop, and pull; it’s just the best way, no bias has ever developed there.

School began interesting for me my last year of high school. School was always important to me, but I never had a passion for it. However, I always put myself in a position to find a passion for school. I never skipped class, I never talked back, and I did my best to stay engaged in every class at all times. A desire to succeed in school did not happen until my final year of high school. I made it my mission to do well in school even if I had not found a passion for school. With my Dyslexia and my ADD, I have always struggled in school, and still struggle in school. I did not discover my Dyslexia and ADD until I was in the 10th grade. The doctor said I relied on my intelligence to create other ways to find the answer which masked my disabilities.
