My Leadership Philosophy

Everyone has a different view on what they think leadership is to them. Leadership to me is being able to guide people in a certain direction to reach a common goal. That person should know how to make sure everyone is involved in a process and that things run smoothly. According to The Student Leadership Challenge, Leadership is modeling the way, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, enabling others to act, and encouraging the heart. My personal leadership philosophy would be to be all you can be. As long as you give things one hundred percent, you can’t be mad at yourself. Being a leader is a lot of responsibility, but anyone is capable of being one. As we read that leadership book in class, it really opened my eyes to all of the qualities a leader must possess in order to be a successful one. I just hope that one day, I will no longer be a follower, but a strong leader.
