The one person that I could never live without, the reason I am standing till this day, is my mother. My mother is who I thank and admire most of all. Without her dedication and hard work, I would be in the squatters of the Philippines, stuck in a place where it is a very difficult place to make a good enough living or even make enough money to keep the bread on the table for your family. Her main goal and dream was to pass the NCLEX exam, it would permit her to go to America. That would allow her to make a better living and life for herself and to get a job, in order to send back money needed for her family. My mom was the eldest of nine siblings. It was extremely difficult for them to have enough money to buy food, there were nights when they didn’t and they would j...
I believe that we all have a special hero in our lives that inspires us, but maybe we don’t always know who that person is. It’s the little, unnoticed things that they do that have the most critical effect in our lives. The person I chose was my mom because she inspires like no other person does. My mom, who is forty-eight years old, has brown hair, brown eyes and the nicest smile that can make anyone’s day brighter. She always tells me that she loves me and that she would anything for me. My mom, Carol Busse, is the person that inspires me most because she always tells me do the right thing and that I should never give up.
The most impactful individual in my life is my mother, Samantha Jarvis, and that is because, she is the one person I know will always be there for me and guide me when I need help. Its safe to say that I would not exist without her (and my dad) and while that is physically true, I also believe that I would not the person I am today without her. My mom has always encouraged me, even from a young age, to chase my passion for learning and find the answers to my questions. She is the one, I get most of morals, ideals, and work ethic from. My mom is one of those people who give a lot and expect nothing in return. She has been the sole provider of my family for the past 18 years due to my father having a broken back and being unable to work. She also the one that does the cleaning around the house, runs errands around town, takes time off work or skips lunch to take me or my sibling to therapy or, to the doctor’s office, and just about everything else.
To some villagers and many other man, some humble and other very confident of their own decency and goodness, Jesus Christ told this parable: “ Together two men went up to the temple in Melbourne to pray and thank god. One of the two friends was a respectable rich man who was a respectable member of the community. While the other was a small tax collector who was a low paid tax collector around Rome, hence was cheating his clients.
Long time ago there was a family, King Jake, Queen Angelina, and the twins Dawn and Luna. A couple of days after they were born a half human half tarantula came by while the king and queen were having dinner and swiped Luna, when the queen arrived she was just in time o try to save Luna, but sadly she died because the monster threw her over the terrace and landed on a rock in the hard cold fog. When the king came in he was to late and saw Luna or Angelina weren’t there. He feared that the princess and their mother died. So, he removed everything about the queen and princess and put it in a dungeon and locked it away and made sure no one ever speaks of Luna or Angelina ever again and made sure no one tells Dawn she had a twin sister. 16 years later, Dawn was outside playing with her friends and Spark her fire breathing puppy. “
“There’s nothing for you behind you. All that exists is what’s ahead.” Secretariat said this on the TV show Bojack Horseman, and, although it was just a cartoon, this quote had a profound impact on me. It was the motto I lived by in high school. I even wrote it on the wall of my bedroom. Throughout my years in high school, I clung to that quotation, held it and wouldn’t let go. One of the most important things I’ve ever learned is to just keep moving and focus on what’s ahead.
I'm getting taken from Africa separated from my family, just so we could be sold. I'm being forced to work for a white family. At only 12 I'm scared and alone, no one to help me or treat me right.
As the youngest of five children she was often overlooked. The pride of the family often overrode the opportunity to receive health care, handouts and a decent chance to become something. My mother spent her childhood in a tiny house with her family and many relatives. She was never given the opportunities to excel in learning and life like my generation has. My grandfather was a carpenter and on that living fed many hungry mouths. But despite this already unfortunate lifestyle my mother maintained good grades and was on a path to overcoming her misfortune.

The denotation of the word hero is "a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities". To some, that person may be George Washington, Batman, or even Peter Griffin. My hero, though, is my grandfather, D.S. Patel. My grandfather, from my mother's side of the family, is a wise, nice, caring sixty-year old man. Vocationally, he works as a civil engineer for the state of Indiana. How can a sixty-year old civil engineer be a hero? Let's find out how strangers see him as a hero, and how I see him as a hero.
One person that I care for very deeply is my dad. He is The reasons he means so much to me is because he helps me whenever I need help, plays sports with me, and he is just like one of my friends.
My grandfather was a very loving man, he loved his family more than anything he had
Many of us have role models in our lives and to most people role models are athletes and movie stars, but to me a role model is much more. To me a role model is a person who has positively influenced someone in life, and is not a person filled with selfishness and greed. They help shape someone’s personality, and characteristics. They are people who someone can look up to for advice in a hard situation, and know that they will give those words of wisdom. They will never judge our past actions, instead only look to help because they really care. A role model is someone who we should never feel awkward talking to about our problems. A perfect role model for me is my mother. She is a wonderful human being. She’s smart, wise, ambitious, patient and such a loving person. There are no words that can describe my gratitude towards her, but through this essay I will describe some of her characteristics that makes her my role model.
When I needed to talk, she listened. When I was ill, she healed me. When I was hungry, she fed me. This frail woman whom I call my mom was a superwoman while I was growing up. With wisdom, she guided; with tenderness, she spoke; and with love, she raised me. Although we were very poor, my mother made it a point always to give me a present on my birthday.
My hero is my dad. He is my superman. He is my leader. My dad is a dad who motivates me and keeps me going, even when I want to give up. He is there for me when I don’t want to try anymore and he always keeps me going. Of all the heroes in the world, my dad is at the top of the list.
My brother was already married and beginning a family of his own by this point, so this left mom and me on our own. Mom and I both wor...
