Ocean pollution is an out of sight, out of mind kind of situation. Pollution enters the ocean through how humans dispose of waste, accidents and carelessness. Ocean pollution destroys everything and there are multiple types of ocean pollution. There’s thermal, oil, plastic, and chemical pollution. Over 80% of ocean pollution is from land based activates which are careless. Ocean pollution causes hundreds of deaths to ocean plants and animals because of human negligence to the ocean.

Each living person generates an average 2.2 tons (22t) of domestic waste every year and a lot of that waste ends up in the ocean. 70% of ocean pollution sinks underwater damaging life on the ocean floor. “The world proudes 200 billion IB, of plastic a year which 10% ends up in the ocean.” (Kester. It occurs when hot waste water is pushed or dumped into the ocean water. Some of this pollution is caused by factories and power plants. The heat kills many plants and animals. Some people scatter the hot water in different areas to help not cause such a temperature rise in one area. Thermal pollution kills many animals and plants that we may need.

Oil pollution also harms and affects the ocean. Oil is a mixture of many different kinds of chemicals. Oil is released by human activates. About 36% of oil comes down...

Many more garbage patches can be or are bigger or twice the size of Texas. What causes all the trash builds up is a clockwise spiral of currents that are created by a high-pressure system of air currents. There are more than two garbage patches in the ocean that u can barely get a boat through. Some people try to clean it up but it would cost over thousands of dollars to clean up.
