India’s Peaceful Leader

Peaceful, nonviolent, or leader are three words, people often think of, in connection with Mohandas Gandhi. Many people know him as a random Indian citizen who fought for Indian independence. Mohandas Gandhi changed the world by showing people to use nonviolence to win something, and by being a peaceful protester. He left a legacy, remembered as India’s peaceful leader. Mohandas Gandhi inspired the world by showing his nonviolence to the world. He left a legacy remembered as being a peaceful and nonviolent leader of India. “Adoring crowds sometimes believed he was the reincarnation of God”(Furbee 45). Achieving in winning independence for India, Gandhi was probably thought of the greatest man alive by his followers.(PPS) “By 1920 he was the most visible figure in the movement for Indian Independence”(Williams History.com). He was one of the greatest of all people remembered for their peace and loyalty to their followers. Gandhi also left his legacy for his improvement to India. “The 1930’s saw little improvement in Indian life after the march”(Nagel 37). This was after the Salt Tax March that took place in 1930. “Gandhi turned the independence movement into a massive organization”(Williams History.com). Gandhi led groups that improved India tremendously, and some groups survived until India finally won Independence.(CD) “In 1920 Gandhi assumed leadership of the Indian National Congress”(Nagel 36).
