Mississippiville is one of the best cities in the country. It is also like most cities in the United States that have its share of issues. When looking over the past four years of the city of Mississippiville, it is clear to me there are several issues with the police department and community relationships. The lack of leadership among the police department and other officials have made the community and us versus them mentality. I, Phillip Norton, will get to the bottom of the issues that hold this town back and restore it to the city it needs to be. Furthermore, the main challenge for me and the mayor is to gain the trust of the people of this city. There have also been cases were officers should have been discipline for inappropriate actions and the department decided not to. Furthermore, this will be a huge challenge for me and the entire city council and mayor,...

The Mississippiville Police Department will make sure all officers are rewarded all benefits, including health and dental. The federal policies will also be enforced, and I will make sure all officers know the full details of each one. It is very important that officers have a place they can go if they need help mentally or physically. Becoming a Police Officer is a very stressful job, and it will be something that will be constantly reminded to officers if they indeed need that help. Finally, I am grateful for the opportunity, to apply for the chief position. With the help of the mayor and the city council we can make this city safer and take the police department forward to where it needs to be.
