Medical marijuana is a controversy in today’s society. Currently the community is divided on the issue. Questions are constantly being thrown around such as “How does it affect the body?” and “What good does it do for a person?” Researchers have tried to answer these questions with studies and they have shown how positive medical marijuana can be. If something can benefit an individual why not use it for the sick in an attempt to find a better drug for those who really need it? Medical use of marijuana should be legal all across the United States because of all the good it can do for a person’s overall health and the fact that everyone deserves all possible methods of treatment when they are ill.
Medical marijuana has been proven time after time to show very good results for sick patients with a number of various diseases. Marijuana contains sixty unique cannabinoids, or different chemicals of marijuana, in its makeup, and over one hundred papers have been published in England and all across Europe about its therapeutic uses for medical reasons. The number one use of marijuana in the medical field currently is for pain relief and for those who suffer chronic aches Studies and tests are being run and showing that it has the power to help people through the great pain that certain diseases can cause .It has the capabilities to relieve the extreme pain that comes with peripheral neuropathy, a disease that infects the nerves apart from the brain and spinal cord and causes strange feeling and intense burning sensation, and other neurological diseases .Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that also affects the nerves and spinal cord but it also harms the muscles. Now all there is to do is convince the majority of people that it should be a legal drug all over the United States.
