Moving from one place to another is a necessity for almost every living organism. Whether it be sliding, walking, jumping, crawling, or flying, it is bound to happen sometime. Humans like to move from place to place quickly and without doing any work. This is why humans in general avoid running. There tends to be some unfavorable expression like a grimace or a sigh accompanying with the quote, “I think I have to go running.” Although hated among many people throughout the world, the positive sides of running can be enough to turn the lazy into the hardworking. Running is an excellent choice for physical and mental enhancement because it keeps one active, relieves stress, and is a good self-esteem booster.
Running is not just for the young, fit, and energetic people of the world. It can be for anybody or anyone. From child to teen to adult to elderly, they can all be a runner. All one needs is a pair of shoes and workout clothes, which are extremely easy to find. There is common misconception when people think running is only to win and going fast is the answer. Training for Young Distance Runners by Larry Greene and Russ Pate says that “Runners . . . may come to think that finishing first is the only measure of success. This would be unfortunate because only a few runners, usually the fittest and most experienced, have a realistic chance of winning a race.” Thus, one should personalize goals and set them realistically, for only the person running knows their body. I have learned throughout of my 6 full years of running that I will not win every race or succeed in every workout. ...till a viable way to get around. After all it takes only a little energy, some shoes, and some comfortable sweats. As easy as it is, many turn away from this type of exercise. With all the benefits, one would think everyone should run. For only twenty minutes of displacement at a mellow pace can one shave off stress, become confident in oneself, and become physically and mentally fit. Seems almost impossible to avoid this kind of deal.

The word run is often associated with how an object may run. “To keep operating or going, as a machine” (Dictionary). This definition often reminds society of how they run their busy lifestyles. Some people have to arise and keep running every day in order to support their family. This is just a part of everyday life. Workers seem to break down every once in a while, too, just like machines. If an employee becomes sick or injured, then he or she must rest until repaired. To be able to run is an important aspect to any person’s life. Nothing would ever be done if humans did not run. The population would just sit around like bums, not supporting families or taking care of themselves. Minds, like bodies, work like the inside of a clock. People have to think before they act. Motivation is a great example of how a running mind can inspire many to take charge and make goals in their own life. Motivation to keep a life running is substantial. What is Biomechanics? It is the study of forces and their effects on the living system (McGinnis, 2013). In this essay, I will be looking at the biomechanics of running. Running, as well as any other sport requires skills for which advancement is due to consistent deliberate practice and effective development. However, runners should establish a training system that actively builds their original running pattern instead of basing it on what works well for others. Understanding the biomechanics of running gives a better knowledge of their running techniques and points out areas of concerns that require improvement. There are very few people that I come in contact with that would say that they never get stressed out. I am a college and I basically stay stressed and especially when it is time for midterms or finals. I began walking about three months ago and it has helped me tremendously. There are chemicals in the brain called neurotransmitters that are stimulated while exercising. These neurotransmitters are responsible for balancing our moods and emotions and that can make you feel better and less stressed. In only one exercise session, you produce 90 to 120 minutes of relation response and some people call that state post-exercise euphoria or endorphin response. Exercising can make you feel much better about yourself, and the feeling of self-worth contributes a great deal to stress relief.
When I began my running activities for Outdoor Education, I thought that all I had to do was just take off running as hard and fast as I could for as long as I could. I also wondered that other than safety rules, because everyone should always be safe no matter what they do, why any "rules" or "tips" were needed for running. The reason I thought this way is because humans and animals run naturally. I learned quickly that just because something may come natural may not always be easy or safe unless rules, tips, and techniques are followed.
Physical activity is one of the last things some people worry about. With the busy lives and constant advances in electronics, there are thousands of other things to do before going for a fun pops into a person’s mind. But at what point do you really need to go for that dreaded run? Physical inactivity has shown increased risk in premature death, as well as increased risk in a number of different diseases. Not only does physical activity provide a person with obvious physical benefits, but it also helps Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and people with depression by reducing symptoms.
Separation from ones own mind and the world around them can help improve exercise maintenance. The daily stress one puts on themselves and put on by others can limit optimal performance.
Running is a natural form of human locomotion. To many, running is an essential aspect of most sports and is also a simple way that requires little to get exercise anywhere. But because many people have adapted to improper forms of running over time, numerous physical injuries are the results. With the help of understanding the physics behind running, people can learn to run in such a way that expends less energy from the body. Keeping physics in mind may also lead to less injuries and effortless running. Remember, physics can be very helpful when running!
People are too overwhelmed to think that it would benefit them. Even taking a jog would require too much of an effort. Because of society’s obligations, the worries of an average everyday routine bring them devastation. It becomes difficult to try to find time within their schedules to squeeze in a time to run. Adding exercise on their to-do list would result in more pressure while trying to reduce stress is the last priority on their mind. However, if they were able to manage their time and duties, making time to get involved in a cardio workout would not be a problem. They would be able to experience the true benefits of exercise and see how it could translate into reducing stress in their lives.
We have all heard the lecture about how important exercise is, but do we ever really listen to why it is? I use to be like the countless other people who did not listen to why we should exercise. Exercise just seemed like such a hassle and it was never an enjoyable experience and I prefered the easier option of just sitting on the couch being unproductive with my life. I always thought this until I found an exercise I actually enjoy doing, running. I am not the fastest runner, nor do I have the best endurance, but with every run it makes me better than I was before. Everyone is different and not everyone will enjoy the same exercise as much as I do, but I do believe that there is a workout for everyone, like running is for me, that they truly will enjoy.
