1.0 Introduction

In this sophisticated age, Information Technology (IT) plays an important role in an organization to be competitive with other organizations. Organizations need to find a solution to remain progressive in the industry. In higher education, institutions of higher education in Malaysia should be aware that technological advances are moving fast to make sure they can stay in the education industry. If not, they will be far behind and may not be sustainable in the education industry. So, what is needed in an educational organization to remain progressive and sustainable in the education industry? Students at this age could no longer be confronted with traditional ways like going to the lecture halls, send assignments to the lecturer's room or attend a tutorial class each day. So, one approach or technique needs to adapt to every single higher educational institution in Malaysia to give more quality in teaching and learning environment, to arranged the organization more easily and the lastly to meet the students diverse need. The answer all the question above is a cloud computing.

In Malaysia current environment, not many educational institutions use cloud computing. Malaysia higher educational institution not have been exposed with this technologies while higher educational institution in oversea such as United Kingdom and U.S had long been exposed with cloud computing technologies.

This assignment will briefly discuss about the meaning cloud computing and the applying cloud computing strategy to stay competitive in the educational industry for Malaysian higher educational institution. In addition, I also gain an understanding the reliability and scalability in the cloud computing adoption to the Malaysian Higher Educational Institutions. Last but not least, I can point out the cloud computing security challenges and cloud computing recommendation for the Malaysian Higher Educational Institutions to stay competitive advantage in the education industry.
