Macbeth: Not All Men Are Heroic
Macbeth was written while when Scotland lacked a good Leader to defend it from a Norwasian invasion. During this dangerous situation, Macbeth stood out as the most commanding figure by defeating the rebel army. His thrill towards the witches' prophecies all confirmed his hopes of becoming the King and replacing
King Duncan, who lacked the power and courage to save his country from this invasion. In this essay, I will discuss Macbeth during the many experiences that he had faced and come across and I will show how these experiences and pressures that he faced helped with the conclusion and theme of the play which yet has to be understood. The first signs that tell us of Macbeth's thoughts of becoming King were found when the King proclaimed his son, Malcolm, the heir to the Scottish throne, and Macbeth considered murder to overcome this obstacle that would prevent him from becoming the King.
The prince of Cumberland! That is a step
On which I must fall down, or else o'erleap,
For in my way it lies. Stars, hide your fires!
Let not light see my black and deep desires.
The eye wink at the hand; yet let that be,
Which the eye fears, when it is done, to see.
(Act 1:Scene 4:ln.55)
When Lady Macbeth heard of her husband's success and read the letter, we almost immediately feel that a new source of power had appared in the drama. Her words reflected a great knowledge of her husband and her practical approach to problems as seen in the following two verses.
Glacis thou art, and Cowdor, and shalt be
What thou are promised. Yet do I fear thy nature.
It is too full o' the milk of human kindness
To catch the nearest way. Thou wouldst be great;
Art not without ambition, but without
The illness should attend it. What though wouldst highly,
That wouldst though holily;wouldst not play false
And yet wouldst wrongly win. Thou'ldst have, great Glacis
That which cries"Thus though must do,"if though have it;
And that which rather thou dost fear to do
Than wishest should be undone. Hie thee hither,
That I may pour my spirits in thine ear
And chastise with the valor of my tongue
All that impedes thee from the golden round
Which fate and metaphysical aid doth seem
To have thee crowned withal.
(Act 1:Scene 5:ln.14
O, never Shall sun that morrow see!
Your face, my thane, is a book where men
May read strange matters. To beguile the time,
Look like the time;bear welcome in your eye,
Your hand, your tongue, look like the innocent flower,
But be the serpent under't.
The resilient Hester Prynne stays strong throughout the novel by recovering fast from her time in prison, the shame that she received while she was on the scaffold, and by moving back to Boston. While Hester Prynne was on the scaffold, a place for public humiliation, she received hate as well as death wishes upon herself and her actions she made earlier in the novel. The hate that Hester received never ceased to take her down,
Comparing Macbeth to a tragic hero would be like comparing Spiderman to Venom. Although Spiderman was the hero in the beginning, he had a bad side too. This is much like Macbeth in the beginning of the story. He went against his wife and did not want to kill until she finally got into his head and convinced him that it was the only way for him to receive the throne. Now, is Macbeth a tragic hero? No. Macbeth is not a tragic hero due to the fact that tragic heros always learn from their mistake and always undergo some sort of meaningful suffering; Macbeth did neither.

Macbeth is a hero and a coward, often at the same time depending on what meaning of the words you use. Macbeth is the hero of the story but he doesn’t act like a hero, except for a time at the beginning of the play (Act 1 Scene 2). After Macbeth murders Duncan, he doesn’t ever become his heroic self again. Macbeth then becomes a coward, which he demonstrates by killing in cold blood all the people that pose even a small threat to him, including his companion and comrade, Banquo who is suspicious of him, which can be seen in the text.
Incontrovertible, physical education programs are getting more attention in the last few years. They are the key to increase teenager’s physical activity levels. Moreover, there are many benefits in the physical education than just having fun, it sharpen overall cognitive abilities and motor skills via athletics. However, what those classes are really trying to promote is the inclusion of a regular fitness activity in our daily routine. Meanwhile, regular fitness activities are “Active living” day-to-day activities, for example, treadmill walking, bike riding and basic daily activities; that is what our parents and ancestors have been doing for most of their lives. These kinds of activities are what our students are not engaging in; rather they are more likely to engage in sedentary activities from playing video games and watching television (The University of Waterloo, 2009). This will, in the long term, increase the risk of virulent diseases such as diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, and even cancer. Despite all these facts, the physical education programs teaches many personal and social tools to the student, some of t...

Physical education class provides a unique experience for students. It enables them to think, act and feel simultaneously while learning. In the course of learning, students are able to simulate movement patterns that are important in the process of skill acquisition and motor competence. While motor and sport skill competence is an important aspect of learning in physical education, the pervasive public health message reinforcing the necessity of enhanced physical activity for health has generally induced a curriculum based on fitness and health ideology in physical education (Liukkonen, Aweele, Vereijken, Alfermann, & Theodorakis, 2007). This has been done at the expense of developing movement abilities (Kirk & Tinning, 1994 in Liukkonen
From abortion to smoking there are always a wide range of issues that are debated every year. One such issue that has been fiercely discussed is physical education; the prominent question has been whether or not P.E is a necessity to a child’s education.
