Lutron has two local and global competitors on the market that are Copper and Crestron. Cooper came on the market with the first gear-driven rear truck axle product. Over the years with the research for automobile industry, Copper named to the FORTUNE 100 for the first time. In the last decade of 20th century, Cooper went through a period of portfolio rationalization, to diminish its exposure to more cyclical industries such as automotive and petroleum. Eventually, Cooper emerged focus on the two business segments – Electrical Products Group and Energy and Safety Solutions. They are the bigger industry with wider range of product line for electrical equipment. They purchase many well-known brand names of lighting to keep in their product offerings.
The other American based competitor is Crestron Electronics, a leading provider for control and automation systems for residential and commercial customers, and audio / video control. Crestron products designed, engineered, and manufactured in America. Their market is limited to local projects only. They create jobs in the USA, which allows expediting product development and time to market. They sell their products through dealers who purchase and install Crestron systems and not directly to the customers.
Lutron is worldwide known company to save energy by 60% and ease for residential and commercial customers. Their product line offers sensors in different sizes that will fit in the smaller spaces and automatically will turn off while room unoccupied. To increase productivity, while most commercial spaces are over-lit, leading to wasted energy usage and affect the productivity of employees, Lutron incorporate lighting based on task performance and providing personal control...
