Long Live the Great Queen Elizabeth II

Last year, the United Kingdom’s eighty seven year old ruler, celebrated her Diamond Jubilee, which marks the 60th anniversary of her coronation. Throughout her reign, she has tried to make the British monarchy more modern and sensitive to the public. Along from helping the British monarchy she has impacted the world. Her majesty is Queen Elizabeth II, one of the United Kingdom’s most dutiful monarch in a thousand years and is still continuing.
The Queen was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on April 21, 1926 in London, to Prince Albert (now King George VI) and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. At age 13, Elizabeth met Prince Philip Mountbatten and was smitten with him from the first time she laid eyes on him. As distant cousin, the pair kept in touch. In 1947, Elizabeth married Philip and bore her first son, Charles, the same year. Her daughter, Anne, came along in 1950. On February 6, 1952, Her Majesty was in Kenya with Prince Philip when her father died. Upon his death, she was made Queen. “Her official coronation took place in June 1953 in Westminster Abbey. She became the first monarch to tour there since World War 1.” Elizabeth had two more children – sons Andrew and Edward – in the early 1960’s. In 1969, she officially made Prince Charles her successor by granting him the title of Prince of Wales. In 1981, Prince Charles married Diana Spencer. Upon recently celebrating her Diamond Jubilee, those 60 years have many great accomplishments that have taken place.
Her Majesty is a great supporter to her country which includes Britain, Northern Ireland, and 16 independent states known as the Commonwealth Realms. In this part of the U.K. not only does she support a couple thousand charities but is one of the world’s greatest charity supporters h...

...hem and the people which are in them, like patients and children. She visits hospitals and talks with the people. She sends cards out to her people and people everywhere else also. The Queen’s charity work is an example to the world.
In the last millennia, only one reign can be titled as the most dutiful and honoured of them all. That would be the monarch of Queen Elizabeth II. Carrying on one of the United Kingdom’s greatest monarchy, the 87 year old Queen has dedicated her time and patience for 60 years now and continues to serve and respect not only her people but the rest of the world as well.
