Life as a Disney Imagineer

Throughout life one takes countless journeys and comes to appreciate new experiences and life lessons. Being raised to understand how to value a dollar and what a dollar is worth gave me insight into the world of finance. Therefore, there is no inquiry why finance caught my attention. For four years I have studied hard to comprehend wealth, currency, financing, and funding through my education of receiving degrees in Finance and Accounting. However, I by no means wanted an occupation where one consistently does the same task on a daily basis with no space for growth. I yearn for a profession that can take me to new encounters and new understandings; and for one day after visiting Disneyland I knew precisely what I would embrace.

The Walt Disney Company is a fascinating and mesmerizing company and for me to appreciate and comprehend how the company works and operates I wanted an educational background in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Entrepreneurship. I want an occupation where something new transpires everyday by being able to discover your innovative side through imagining and conjuring new creations within a functioning environment that one has shaped and to create unbelievable experiences. My ultimate profession(s) would be to be an entrepreneur, chief executive officer, and president of my own company where I could create, design, and develop theme parks. My ultimate objective is to develop a thriving company that constructs theme parks where guests come back year after year. However, if for certain reasons this should not occur I would then want to be an Imagineer for the Walt Disney Company.

The vision I perceive for myself in five years is working with numerous individuals in creating, developing, opening, and ...

... speaking is difficult because of anxiety and worry of making myself look like a fool. These skills will have to be sought and practiced upon, considering I would be the head of a company and everyone would be looking at me for answers and dealing with situations. The skills and abilities that best fit me, I believe, are planning/organizing under pressure, problem solving, ability to communicate with others, learning the roles of others, being honest, and staying productive and creative. Also owning and running a company, and being an Imagineer, is very stressful and takes a great amount of time; like most individuals they work from eight to five, however for myself I could work from eight to midnight or one in the morning and weekends. I will need to discover how to improve and manage my time so that I am not so extended with day-to-day activities and functions.
