After high school, generally graduates move to a formal educational institution or go straight in to employment. Eventually both groups find they are working for somebody else. Aspiring to be their own boss, and work to achieve their dreams. Nevertheless, society wonders what makes successful people different. Many believe the difference is the level of formal education. Common keywords to being successful are take action, be persistent, work hard, analyze details, and communicate. Moreover, a practical knowledge or theoretical knowledge is required to succeed. Both assume the risks to pursue opportunities. However, a trait they both share is leadership.

Most everyone recognizes the Virgin venture capital organization, established by entrepreneur, Sir Richard Branson. He has developed Virgin to include global warming projects, media, and airlines. He has an honorary Doctor of Technology from Loughborough University. However, as a child living in South London he struggled with a learning disability in school, and never attended college (Best Online Colleges). The late Steve Jobs was CEO of Apple, Inc. and former CEO of Pixar Animation Studios. Although regarded as one of the most innovative minds in the country, Jobs scarcely attended college. He abandoned a formal education at Reed College after one semester (Best Online Colleges).

Another successful entrepreneur and CEO that barely attended college is Marc Graham. As a young man taking things apart and fixing them was a hobby of his. As a teen, Marc got a job at a local repair shop called Dorman. He started as a tire installer, and worked on the service floor. However, after just one year he moved to sales at the front counter. ...ault). In conclusion, there is not one definitive profile of a successful person. They come in various ages, income levels, gender, and race. They differ in education and experience. The outcome indicates that most successful people share certain personal attributes, including creativity, dedication, determination, flexibility, passion, self-confidence, and leadership.
