The problem is that in the past few years, there has been a lack of awareness when it comes to the school yearbook. Students and parents have been unaware of yearbook purchasing information. Many parents and students have been left disappointed by not receiving their yearbook. This is a problem because the parents and students want to buy the yearbook but because of the lack of awareness don’t know when it is sold. Because of this, many students and parents don’t by the yearbook and then end up getting disappointed because they wanted it. The thing that causes the problem is the lack of awareness
The yearbook committee would like a video to show at assemblies, parent conferences, and on the school website to help create awareness about the school’s yearbook. The students care because it’s a yearbook about them and they would like to keep the videos as memories. So when they don’t receive one because they don’t know when they sold it they get really disappointed. The parents care because it’s their children’s yearbooks and they want to keep those memories with them forever. They didn’t know when they were selling them but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to have pictures of their children so they can look at them later when they grow up. Parents really love their children so it’s pretty hard on them when their child grows up to become a man or woman because they don’t want to let them go. When that happens the parents like to have pictures of their children growing up. The yearbook committee cares because when parents and students don’t know about when the sales begin they have trouble selling as many yearbooks as they would like. They work really hard on making a great yearbook and end up experiencing the frustration of low book...

Reflections from the Yearbook Editor Essay - ... Throughout the year, Yearbook had complications, but we, as a whole, pulled through. With the stress of work piling up, we had to get everything finished. Everything included the illustrator pages, inserting names, inserting images, fonts, and more. In my best opinion, half of the class finished ahead of time, which helped in the long run. Those who finished, were given the task of helping the rest of the group, which made our jobs easier. Connie and Jacci helped me with correcting errors. I knew that I might skim over a few errors, minor or major, so I asked them to assist me....   [tags: personal narrative] 743 words

Lack of School Flexibility: Is This What Led to High School Dropouts? Essay - ... When interest is lost by a student one can pretty much say that they are gone. “The streets” and the school system are in competition and “the streets” are winning right about now. When “the streets” are more interesting to students, they begin to stray away from the school system. Many high school students have taken that step into adulthood. This could mean that they have had children of their own or have been put in situations to act as head of household (Azzam 91-93). The school system is not structured to fit the circumstances of these students....   [tags: increasing high school graduation rates]

Hidden Words And The Life Of Middle School Essay - As school year draws to a close, students across the nation anticipate the biggest school sanctioned literacy event of the year: the sale and distribution of the school yearbook. Like students elsewhere, Fayette Middle students anxiously awaited its arrival. Produced by some sixty-five or so students working together with the help of two staff advisors, the yearbook, a fifty page hard back document, captured the year through photographs, student produced artwork, and captions. Sports held a prominent place in the pages of the yearbook: photos of football, wrestling (which I both proudly represented as team captain), track, and baseball events for the boys; and track, tennis, volleyball, and...   [tags: Yearbook Education Kids] 1270 words

Essay on Lack of Integrating Technology in Elementary School - Lack of integrating technology in elementary schools It has been the goal of educators to integrate technology in all levels of learning. Educators believe that if this goal is properly implemented and supported, it may bring about a positive experience for both teachers and students (Ertmer & Leftwich, 2009; Simon, 2002). Essay about The Need for a School Health and Safety Committee - ... The paper on walls in the classroom would not concern me as much as decorating doors or hallways with streamers and papers. The most important consideration from these readings is to expand your thinking about student safety. We often focus on student safety with respect to intruders but it is equally important to think about student safety inside the school from making the school fire safe to reducing other hazards within the school and on the school grounds. It can certainly seem overwhelming when you begin to think about physical safety as discussed in this session or environmental safety in previous sessions....   [tags: awareness of school facilities] 515 words

The Impact of Phonological Awareness on the Reading Development of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students - The relationship between phonological awareness and reading development of D/HH children was discovered in the early 1970s (Nielsen & Stahlman, 2002).
