Recommended: the importance of reading at an early age
Throughout the semester, we have studied a variety of texts. It is very important that students read and get exposed to many different texts. Reading helps develop the mind and can even help develop communication skills. This is a very important skill to encompass because you will need to have all throughout your life. It will help you with jobs and overall relationships that you have with people. Everywhere you go, you will see something you have to read. Whether it’s an advertisement board or letters you receive in the mail. Reading is a major part of life. It is a skill that everyone should contain. Three of my favorite texts that we have studied are Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Pyramus and Thisbe.
Romeo and Juliet is one of my favorite texts for several reasons. One reason is because it’s a play. I like to read plays because you get everyone’s opinions and how they view different scenarios. Another reason I liked it is because it is so popular. Everyone knows the title Romeo and Juliet so it was nice actually getting to learn about what the fuss is about. It...
Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, is a story of two young lovers. These two hearts, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, belong to feuding families. The family feud causes them to keep their love a secret and therefore only Romeo, Juliet, Benvolio, the Nurse and Friar Lawrence know of their love. Romeo and Juliet are able to look past the feud and let themselves fall in mad love with the other. They let themselves do almost anything for the other and at times it seems like too much to do, even for the one they love.
If you're a fan of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, but didn't like the ending of the book I would definitely recommend this book. Overall the story was good and realistic. Another reason why I would recommend this book because it’s modern time. In closing, the reader will be more likely to relate to the book because of the time
Romeo and Juliet is known as one of the greatest love stories, but it has its fair share of tragedy as well. The story riddles with themes throughout. Love is the first theme, and there is no greater love than the love Romeo and Juliet share. Shakespeare offers his audiences just as much hate as love in Romeo and Juliet. The families of both Romeo and Juliet involved themselves in centuries of feuding.
On the surface, Romeo & Juliet is a simple tragic love story: boy meets girl, they fall in love, time elapses, things go wrong, and an end is met. But if you ask why was the end met, well there's where you get into the details of the story and the individual aspects of the mostly nondescript characters, in particular Romeo himself. Look into his ridiculously romantic lines, and you'll notice either the flaw in his character, the mistake he made, or the way fate plays with its toys.
The play “Romeo and Juliet” by the great William Shakespeare is a tale of love, hate and ultimately death written nearly 500 years ago. In this essay i will be explaining my reasons on why Romeo and Juliet should be included into 9th grade curriculum.
Romeo and Juliet is a play about two young lovers, whose love was destined for destruction from the beginning because of the hatred between the two families, Montagues and Capulets. Shakespeare juxtaposes the themes of love and hatred. He continuously puts them side by side, and even though they are opposites, when seen together you realise that they are driven from the same thing; passion. Shakespeare uses many different language and dramatic techniques to convey this idea.
We all know the story of Romeo and Juliet, the star crossed lovers who kill themselves for each other. But when you think of Romeo and Juliet, you probably think of a great romance story. But is it really? Romeo and Juliet is a play written by the great William Shakespeare and most people think this play was written as a love story that just ends very badly. Well I think otherwise. Most people are tricked into thinking that Romeo and Juliet is a love story from what others say, but in all reality Romeo and Juliet is more of a tragedy.
All in all, Romeo and Juliet has many different ways of exhibiting love towards others and themselves. Many of these types of loves have carried on to our lives today. Romeo and Juliet is not just about true love but as well as many different types and styles of love.
Romeo and Juliet is a timeless tale of lovers who's misfortune and immaturity was a cause of their own destruction. The characters individually show immaturity and together demonstrate how ignorance of the world effects more than just their own lives. Romeo and Juliet, as expressed in the succeeding examples, fall in love quickly as a result of their naivety.
Romeo and Juliet is arguably the most famous story about love in literature. This is in part because of the tension caused by the look the different characters have towards what love means and its role in life. These views were very important for the progression of the story. Their different views collided and caused much grief and sorrow for the characters throughout play. Many important events that propelled the story forward would not have happened without the various feelings towards love the characters have and how they felt of and reacted to the other characters’ view on love.
Through this tragic play, Shakespeare illustrates that love requires people to sacrifice many precious things, which can include family, friends, even life. The classic play Romeo and Juliet by the famous playwright William Shakespeare is one of the most beautiful love stories of all time and has captured and inspired readers everywhere. Regardless of the fact that it was written in the 1500’s, it is still being performed and extolled today. There is a multitude of reasons for such continuance of the play. First of all, its everlasting themes of love and hate enable people to deeply relate to the story. Secondly, its memorable characters deeply imprint on the minds of readers. Shakespeare’s Juliet Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is very valuable in today’s culture. In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet many people believe that Romeo is the star of the play, but in many ways, it is in fact Juliet; she speaks for herself, understands the consequences to her own actions, and is extremely intelligent given her age. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet focuses on Juliet as the main character; she speaks for herself, understands the consequences to her own actions, and is extremely intelligent given her age.
Romeo and Juliet the best love story, right? Wrong! This people are nothing more than a tragedy, a very well written but nothing more than a tragedy. Teens walk around talking about how they want to be “Romeo and Juliet,” or how beautiful there love is. They knew each other just a few days, never even had a good conversation. They both were in love with the idea of one another and here are some ways to see it as what it is a tragedy. One the fight that was started in the first scene, two the death all throw it and last but not least, there death. Yes they die at the end. They kill their self over someone they saw at a party.
