Americans today, know that there is a problem with illegal immigration. Everyday many illegal immigrants cross the borders. There are between twelve and twenty million illegal immigrants in America. (“Scary Immigration Statistics” 1) The U.S. should make all illegal immigrants register or deport them to their original countries. The U.S. should also make a program so that the immigrants can get a license for legality. If the immigrants do not want to cooperate, then they cannot be in America. The government spends billions of dollars a year on foreign aid. America is trillions of dollars in debt. Most of that money is from the U.S. trying to help out foreign countries. The economy is affected by illegal immigrants because they take a lot of American jobs. Those reasons are why illegal immigrants should have to file for citizenship.
When an immigrant does not file for citizenship then they are illegal. The act of entering the U.S. is called illegal immigration. Illegal immigration to the United States is the act of foreign nationals entering the United States, without government permission and in violation of United States nationality law, or staying beyond the termination date of a visa, also in violation of the law. (“Illegal Immigration” 1) When an immigrant is caught they are usually fined and can be detained up to six months for the first offense. The illegal immigrant waits in jail until their court hearing. Immigrants get a chance to prove that they have a legitimate reason to be in America. If the illegal immigrant cannot come up with a good reason to let them stay, they are deported. In certain cases, the immigrant that got caught might have a wife and kids that are legal. In most cases, the U.S. government will give ...

Illegal immigration has been an ongoing problem in America for many decades. The form of law that currently governs the immigration process is, the Immigration and Naturalization Act, and it has been broken for many years as immigrants still continue to pour into the states illegally. The immigration acts enacted in the past that have been continuously modified leads up to the current policy that falls under the Incrementalism model. However, it is important to note that the current American Immigration system is broken and is in dire need of reform. There are 11 million people living in the dark and too many employers cheating the system by hiring undocumented workers in exchange for offering lesser pay. The current system is hurting the economy and bringing down our country as a whole.

This is a collab of many great authors that have degrees in the fields of economics. I found this website to be very helpful due to the multiple different views which share both pros and cons of illegal immigration. This website was created to be an unbiased source for information on a wide range of topics. There are many arguments on this page, some being that illegal immigration affects wages in a negative way and how much illegal immigrants cost us. Overall I highly trust this website due to its educated writers on both sides of this

The issue of undocumented immigrants has been a huge debate in the 2016 Presidential Debate. The increase in undocumented immigrants to the US has Americans scared that the increase is more like an invasion, but there are so many other reasons on why it is better to keep our undocumented immigrant population than deport them. The fact they better our economy, by taking low end jobs, or increasing our GDP per capita by 4% is a great place to start(). Most Americans say that deporting the undocumented immigrants is in America’s best interest, but in reality, the undocumented immigrants help America and even Americans themselves.

First off, let’s just start by saying within the confines of the United States illegal immigration is not really illegal due to many different factors. Currently in the United States illegal immigrants receive healthcare, social security, unemployment and other forms of benefits provided by the US government “for its people”, which are funded by the citizens of the United States through their tax dollars but illegal immigrants do not pay taxes, they simply collect and piggyback off the rest of us. Not only that though with the increase of illegal immigrants comes an increase in the unemployment rate, the amount of illegal immigrants coming over each year, and taxes as we must pay for people that don’t belong here. If you were to trespass in a foreign country for instance let’s say Russia as soon as you step foot on their soil you’re “banned from the country for 10 years and you can receive up to a six month prison
There are many, many issues when it comes to immigration and migration. Nothing is just black and white, and there is always at least two sides to a story, usually more than that. I’m going to tell my side, or at least the side that I see the most of living in Arizona, a border state to Mexico. Being that the issue of immigration is so broad, I’ve narrowed it down to the most important question to me, living in the southwest, concerning Mexican/American border issues. Is it the immigrants themselves that are the problem or is it the laws governing immigration? This is a big debate amongst politicians, activists, students, citizens, non-citizens, and everyone in between. I think that the problem lies on both sides, but the bigger fault belongs to the American laws and regulations.

Despite the United States of America’s foundation being built upon immigration, a serious issue has risen in the country and it derives from the foundation itself. The issue has grown subtly over the course of the past few decades disguising itself as immigration which has allowed it to go unchecked for so long. Illegal immigration has been an issue that has gone unchecked for too long and there are plenty of reasons why. Illegal immigration has caused quite a few issues that have been slowly damaging the U.S. consisting of overpopulation, political dishonesty of the left, overconsumption of the U.S. resources, and the neglect of the citizens of the country. There is also the notion that the left leaning individuals of the government are allowing
According to the U.S Nationality Act “(A) Any alien who at the time of entry or adjustment of status was within one or more of the classes of aliens inadmissible by the law existing at such time is deportable.(B) Also Any alien who is present in the United States in violation of this Act or any other law of the United States, or whose nonimmigrant visa (or other documentation authorizing admission into the United States as a non immigrant) is deportable.” (U.S Citizenship and immigration services)
