The Is The Most Important Part Of The Gospel

When asked what the Gospel is, some Christians scramble just to explain something so simple that humans have complicated so much. The Evangelist Larry Moyer has simplified it down to this, “Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead.” The last part of this sentence is the most important though. What is just as bad is watering down the importance of the resurrection. So many different people throughout the centuries have tried to explain away the resurrection with something that could have happened. The resurrection is the most important part of the Gospel and it must be defended.
Jesus Christ is a man who lived during the first century Who was a perfect man because He was God. He also did so many great things such as healing the sick and speaking with wisdom so far above anyone else that has ever lived; even Solomon. The greatest thing He ever did while He was on Earth though was becoming the ultimate sacrifice for everyone who has ever lived. He did this by suffering and dying on a cross. He died for each person individually. If there was only one person who ever needed saving, Jesus would die for that one individual. God the Father hates sin so much that He sent His only Son to die on the cross for the whole world. It doesn’t end there though. After being buried in a tomb for three days, He rose again and was alive.
This resurrection proved that Jesus was God. The ultimate sign to show that He was God was this. After He was risen from the dead more than five hundred individual saw Him. In the book of 1st Corinthians Paul is writing about the resurrection of Christ and says that about five hundred people saw Him. And most of those people were still alive! He included that little bit about them still being alive so that i...

When the Pharisees see this, they think that Christ is literally talking about the Temple when in all reality He is talking about His own body.
So many times people do not really take into consideration the importance of the resurrection. The resurrection is the foundation for our faith. Jesus Christ is God and He beat death. It does not matter how much evidence is presented. If a person comes to look at the evidence with an attitude that it never happened, no amount of evidence will convince them. The only thing that would convince them is the Holy Spirit and also the Word of God. Those are the two tools that are always essential for witnessing. The resurrection is powerful and changes lives.
