Boy in The Striped Pajamas

Bruno is a very interesting character to me. He loved exploring, going on adventures and playing with his friends. He didn't always let his older sister tease him and bother him all the time. Bruno was just a regular nine year old boy. But Bruno didn't go with the flow always. Like in the beginning he wasn’t happy about His home in Berlin. “Bruno had a pain in his stomach and he could feel something growing inside of him, something that when it worked its way up from the lowest depths inside of him to the outside world would make him shout and scream that the whole thing was wrong and unfair and a big mistake…”. I felt that he was also very adventurous and believed in what was right and didn’t like what was wrong. After being told that he wasn’t allowed to explore he decided to build a tire swing. He fell off the swing and Pavel cleaned him up. But when his mother came home she took credit for something she didn’t do. In conclusion I think Bruno is mature or his age but doesn’t understand all that he wants to.
Getel was very mean and nasty towards her little brother. She always seemed to act as if she were 20 and he was only 5, but Bruno wasn’t going to let that happen. One example from the novel is, “ Stop it Kurt,” said Gretel, drying her eyes.” He doesn’t understand he’s only nine”. “ Oh, will you be quiet please”, shouted Bruno. “ You’re only twelve anyway”, he added. “So stop pretending to be older than you are. Also she loved to say little things that she knew would annoy him. Another example is, “ He run the country, idiot,” said Gretel, showing off as sisters tend to do. But she acts like any other twelve year old with a younger brother. Just loves to get on their nerve...

8. “And then the room went dark and somehow despite all of the chaos that followed, Bruno found he was still holding Shmuels hand”: I hose this because they both died holding hands.
9.” Those people……..well, their not people at all Bruno.”: I picked this because you see that the soldiers didn’t believe the jews were human at all.
10. “Sitting around miserable all day won’t make you any happier.”:I like this because it speaks for itself.
