...ultural shift from ancient to modern culture by the effects of the industrial revolution which has lost the value of humanity. Modernization has a huge impact on humans’ life. On the one hand, it changed our life by making things easier. On other hand, it is destroying it by isolating people from the world, giving them less opportunity to interact with each other and the ability to create a new generation. Furthermore, it is separating humans from nature by making them live away from nature, and damaging their health by pollution and artificial things that are produced. As well, it has created diversity among the people by dividing them into classes based on gender and socioeconomic status. So, this cultural shift from ancient to modern has a huge influence on human life, and it remains to see how much the industrial revolution over time will influence society.
The period during which there was an increased output of machine-made goods, also known as the Industrial Revolution, played a critical role in reshaping Britain’s economy. Industrialization greatly changed the way the world worked. The world had finally become one global trade system, with a complex economy and involvement of nearly every nation. The citizens of the world relied on one another more than ever, as raw materials were needed to create goods, which could be sold around the world. These worldly markets were also sought after, as the supply was finally keeping up with the demand, so it became harder to advertise things as rare, and therefore harder to sell them. The way goods were produced began to evolve, and keeping up with the people became the newest struggle faced by mankind.
The Industrial Revolution began over two centuries ago and has had a major impact on every current world power. It began in a group of islands off the North West coast of Europe and has been imitated or tried by every nation looking to increase its wealth and power throughout the world. Industrialization came out of the basic ideas of capitalism because it fostered individuals who were willing to take high risks in hopes of high returns on their investments. These investments included factories and machines that would be put to use by people to better their standard of living. These entrepreneurs would return their profits back to the expansion and improvement of their factories and machines.
Some believe that India’s non-participation in the Industrial Revolution was due to British colonization. At the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, India had clout as a world leader in cotton textiles (Majumdar 62). The British plundering subsequently lead to the destruction of the textile industry, and eventually the economy. It is believed that much of the money necessary to the Industrial Revolution was obtained by the looting of India. After all, India had the three things necessary to start an endeavor such as this: raw materials, wealth, and a market. The Industrial Revolution itself began only a few years after the colonization of India (Majumdar 62). In the end, India was unable to participate in the Industrial Revolution. According to Majumdar, “Consequences of not being able to participate in the Industrial Revolution included not democratizing invention and the democratization of markets”. India’s own industrial revolution began after Independence in 1947, wh...

The first notable positive effect of the empire is industrialization. The British having been ahead in industrial evolution helped spread technology to new places around the world. Great Britain was the first country to experience industrialization due to its abundant natural resources such as coal and iron, immense expansion throughout the world and subsequent economic growth from trade, and its governmental and financial strength. The industrial revolution was fast and maintained strength in Great Britain, whereas other Western countries experienced industrialization much more gradually and with more difficulty, due to political, social, and economic instability.
