Industrialization, an International Phenomenon That Broke the World From the Old Regime Limits. Industrialization was an important change that happened to the world starting form the nineteenth century. The industrial revolution started in Britain when they discovered coal and how to use its ability to produce heat and use that to fuel steam machines in the nineteenth century. According to Robert Mark, there are many factors that contributed to the Industrial Revolution such as, cotton textiles and the British need for coal. The industrialization had affected the way the world work in more than one aspect. It had affected labor, trade, and military environments. Daniel Defoe writes about how trade played an important role in increasing Britain wealth , which led to them being able to develop steam-powered machines and establish industrial revolution. Defoe states that Britain did not use war to increase their wealth, but they dependent on establishing colonies and trade to raise their wealth. He also write about how most of the British people were living a good life and they were making good money in the British colonies because they used to work hard and they make enough money to live a good life. Britain also made a lot of its wealth from the Triangular trade. The triangular trade was a three-way trade between Britain, the Americas and Africa. Where they traded a lot of different thing among them was tea, tobacco, sugar, cotton, and African slaves. Eric Williams says, “The increase consumption of goods called forth by that trade inevitably drew in its train the development of the productive power of the country” . This proves that there were elements outside Britain helped it to prepare for the Industrial Revolution. The Great Britain were the first country to achieve Industrial Revolution, which helped them achieve many great things in Labor, Trade, and military environments. All of these achievements also affected different countries such as China, India, and Africa. So the industrialization did not only affect one country but affected many parts of the world. Also, Industrialization made people break of the biological old regime constrains and made them able to develop new power sources and increase the population and the human ability to grow. It made production to be more efficient by allowing people to use steam-powered machines for production, Made trading easier by the use of trains, and changed military power since the British were able to develop an all-iron gunboats that made current and wind ineffective on
