Knowing that there are so many opportunities out there for you just because you put in the time and effort. You get out what you put in. College is expensive, takes a long time, requires a lot of dedication, and there seems to never be any relaxation or break time. It's all about balancing out your schedule, getting enough sleep and taking care of your business. You have to take it upon yourself to work hard in class and apply for scholarships. The price you pay to attend college, you don’t choose, but you do choose what you do with your education. Everyone’s situation is different, but that doesn’t make college impossible. With some hard work and motivation, college is definitely possible.
...all of the sides to whether college is worth the cost, it is evident that college is in fact worth the cost of tuition. College should be looked at as an investment. A college education will give the graduate more money in the end, than they invested. Even though there are temptations in college, the advantages that college gives their students far surpasses the amount of temptations there are along the way. Most college graduates graduate, and earn a degree by surpassing the temptations college gives, and instead taking in all of the advantages that it is able to offer. A college education has been linked to the American Dream. The American Dream consists of accomplishing dreams and success in the United States. Society has established an emphasis that a college degree will lead to economic and social happiness, but it is important to take a step back and realize that a college degree is not the only way to achieve success and accomplish the American Dream. This socially constructed norm has considered students as disappointments when they choose to not pursue or realized that a college path is not for them. Even though a college education is believed by all as an essential part to an individual’s success, it is not entirely the path to everyone’s success. There are going to be students who are not going to want or be able to pursue a college education, and for those, instead of labeling as automatic failures, there needs to be promoting of alternative routes.
