Impact of Sucide Attacks on Job Satisfaction of Islamabad Police

Terrorism is surely existed since before the dawn of recorded history (Merari 1990). Terrorism is the biggest threat for the entire world. Especially for Pakistan and generally for the whole world, the black storm of terrorism covers the whole scenario of Pakistan. Now when we are talking about terrorism, it creates a horrible picture for Pakistanis. Pakistan is now affected by the bad impacts of terrorism. The new dimensions of terrorism include the suicide terrorism. Suicide terrorism is an international problem that endangers the well being of the whole population, it is imperative for people of all faiths for enhance cooperation between each other to combat this problem.

The main targets of suicide attacks in Pakistan are security agencies i.e. Police, Army, ISI, IB, MI and other armed forces. These suicide attacks create a horrible picture of our society, it destroy our national security and every person is in panic especially our security agencies, the security personnel feels threat and in security at their work places. Most of the suicide terrorism is undertaken as a strategic directed towards achieving particular political goals. The main purpose of suicide terrorism in Pakistan is to use the threat of punishment to coerce the government to change polices about America, war against terrorism and to stop the operation in Waziristan.

The first Suicide attack in Pakistan was on 20th November 1995, out ride of Egyptian embassy. The rate of suicide attacks increased in 2003 and up to hundreds and thousands of civilians and armed personnel are killed in these attacks.
