Impact of Mobile Technology on Society

Mobile Technology in the past 5 years has completely changed society. From changing the standard of a technology, a “laptop” into a new form called a “tablet”. To which these new forms, smartphones have enabled people in society to access more information about themselves and the world around them faster than ever before. Not only have that applications even have been introduced to the educational system, making teachings like handwriting the thing of the past. That is why applications like the Facebook, have been connecting millions per day through the basic online premise of interaction. Although Facebook may seem somewhat “cool” to the middle age of society, the “youth” seems to think Twitter the trend sensation is by far more superior. Now in an age where technology is all around us, unknown monitoring of our mobile devices has made hacking a person’s worst nightmare.

Through these changes recently in society, tablets have nearly destroyed the laptop industry. Reason being, people in society would rather use a mobile device to access the same information that can be accessed by a laptop computer. This is especially true for tablets because, “Mobile devices are enabling new economies, opportunities and functions we couldn’t envision just a handful of years ago. Ignore this trend and you’re sure to think there’s no way tablets could ever outsell PCs, let alone do so within the next two years. Look at the next generation embracing tablets, however, and you start to see that the idea isn’t so far-fetched after all” (Tofel). Additionally Tofel explains that tablets may not have the processing power of a laptop, but even with that said the “price margin” of these tablets and the capabilities through “applications” separ...
