The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is a cabinet level department of the Illinois State Government, with its main headquarters in Springfield, Illinois. The IDNR operates all of the state parks and state recreation areas, enforces the fishing and game laws of Illinois, regulates the coal mines, is in charge of the Illinois State Museum and oversees investigations of the scientific research of the soil, water, and mineral resources of the whole state. In 1995, the department was renamed from the Illinois Department of Conservation to the current Illinois Department of Natural Resources. This change added functions to the former old Illinois Department of Energy and Natural Resources and the Illinois Department of Mines and Minerals to the agency combining it all into one name or agency. In 2009, The IDNR consisted of a total of sixteen different offices and bureaus. These offices include: administration, architecture, compliance, director, law enforcement, land management, legal counsel, legislation, mines and miner...

...m. They are supposed to attempt to keep out these species. In some cases, game wardens have even more authority than a regular police officer. For example, there are many states that allow them to search vehicles or homes or whatever they desire with, or without even having a search warrant.

During the problem definition stage, one must realize that “a condition is not a social problem unless it is seen as violating certain fundamental values and beliefs about how society should operate” (Gusfield, 2011). I have determined that there exists a problem concerning gun control, more specifically, concealed carry laws, as they are inconsistent throughout the states. While 48 states now have some form of concealed carry policy in place, the Illinois does not. Thus, the citizens’ rights are in violation of the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Then, at the right moment, the panther attacked the deer. With bounds at over twenty feet at a time, the panther exploded out of the underbrush, pouncing on the deer and forcing it to the ground. Within fifteen seconds, the panther stood breathing heavily over its unfortunate victim of life and death. This scene has been going on for many years, the battle of predator and prey, but now the new predators are humans, almost virtually wiping out the entire population, leaving only an estimated 30 - 50 Florida panthers left. Should the environmental leaders of Florida protect the Florida panther?
Game wardens are some of the most powerful leaders in the nations from the early 1865 when the legislature created Fish and oyster commission regulating fishing. The department of game warden was added in 1907. When the state board created a separate entity in 1923, then in 1951 the name Fish and Oyster was dropped to create a new name for Texas park and wildlife Department in 1963. Legislature decided to pass an Act for managing fish and wildlife resources in all Texas counties with all parks and wildlife departments. The court was the only one that could veto the power over departments regulations in many Counties, the Game warden currently have 10 internal divisions today. When 1964 came around funds for construction of boat ramps in all Start parks came in effect. In 1965 Texas game and fish magazine decided to change its name to Texas park & Wildlife, they wanted to reflect comprehensive function of the park and wildlife department (Shawn Bengston, State Parks, Randy

Flocken endorses that “...hunters are not like natural predators. They target the largest specimens; with the biggest tusks, manes, antlers, or horns.” In Defense of Animals International (IDA) argues that hunters concentrate on“game” populations and ignore “non-game” species that may lead to overpopulation and unequal ecosystems. Therefore, it affects their ecosystem, and the animals’ families. Overall, the evidence proves trophy hunting hurts the environment, specifically conservation. Therefore, the hunters’ idea that trophy hunting actually helps conservation by killing some predators to maintain balance, is merely

National Parks are the cornerstone of every country because it preserves the rich cultural and natural resources of a nation, such as Yellowstone in the United States of America. Yellowstone National Park is the World’s First National Park which brings millions of attraction each year, it is larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combine and have over a thousand species of plants and animal (Yellowstone Media). However, a very important type of species has been missing in Yellowstone National Park for a very long time. Wolves, which got reintroduce back into Yellowstone National Park, should stay there because without them the ecosystem would be out of balance.
From the perspective of economy, ecology, and environmental conservation, hunting is very important. Hunting is necessary to protect agriculture and the environment from animal pest or overpopulation. For example, wild boars tear up many farmers land causing many problems as well with the deer population growing eating away farmer’s resources. Also with the growth of white tail deer are damaging every landscape east of the Mississippi river. Unfortunately, the harm is very overlooked, and accepted as somehow “natural”. Over the last 30 years higher dear populations have made a more negative impact due to climate change. (“Is Hunting a Good Thing?”) Hunting was legalized in 1993 to help bring overabundant wild animal populations down. The legalization
